We had an incredible experience tonight. Our server Madelyn who is also a red head like my kids was very attentive & probably one of the best servers I've ever had at any restaurant. The food was just as good as always. Maybe Monday's are extra great because our food came super fast, we didn't have to ask more than once for anything. The macaroni and cheese used to just be Kraft Dinner but now it's real homemade Mac baked with cheese on top, which my son was super excited about. Since I forgot to take photos due to hunger levels, I took some of the fries and my son's freckled lemonade for you.
Came in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick bite. It took a little time to be seated. It seemed like there was a staff meeting taking place at the back. Food arrived promptly and tasted great! I was surprised we were in and out in an hour considering on separate occasions orders took longer than usual to arrive. I mentioned this and the staff mentioned that it was quiet now and that it would be busy in the evening. It’s something to consider. Very friendly staff. Ample seating. Cleanliness could be better, especially in the washrooms.
As a longtime customer of Red Robin, our visit to the new Langley location was very disappointing. From the new layout to food offerings, the entire establishment reeks of corporate cost cutting and maximization of profits. The large open concept felt like a cheap cafeteria with basic metal chairs and tables. It felt very crammed since more people could fit into the restaurant. The open layout contributes to a very loud and uncomfortable dining experience. It didn't help that the tables were crammed literally beside each other and there's less booths available. You can also see more of the concrete floor, which looked very dirty due to food scatterings and droppings. The new food menu was lackluster and underwhelming. My truffle burger lacked flavor and tasted very bland. And their chicken fingers have thinner breading and less seasoning. In fact, you can buy tastier chicken fingers at the grocery store for less. Given the prices of their menu, our meal felt like a rip-off as compared to similar restaurants. Our only positive is the good service from our server. However, their entire staff looked overworked or short manned during our visit. If you're on the fence about eating at Red Robin's Langley, stay far away from this establishment. It's a shell of its former self. And a far cry from the glory days of comfortable dining and tasty food.
We were so excited that Red Robins finally opened at their new location Willowbrook Mall. Red Robins has a good vibes nostalgia for us growing up in Vancouver. It was a place for us as kids hanging out with the family, teenagers hanging out with friends and as young adults grabbing a bite to eat before the bar. A bit disappointed with the new location and space. They've turned this institution into a cafeteria style set up. It is quite loud people talking and has that messy look from the tables not being cleaned. The food is not much to brag about either, which disappointed us the most. We had two classic RR food - a signature burger and clucks. The food was dry and aside from the sauces, pretty bland. A few great shining things I should mention - we had a really good server Naomi, the food came quick and we had the donut tower. It's kind of hard to live up to the Old Red Robin we used to love.
First time coming here at Red Robin and everything was tasty and came out quick..the fries are killer and the strawberry milkshake is awesome. Christan was our server and he was so onit and attentive. Great job and would come back again because of him.
I liked the old location. It had a warm atmosphere. This place is cold down to the polished concrete floors. The hostess was polite but I was a bit taken aback when she got the little piece of paper for kids that every restaurant has and asked me what color crayon I wanted. That started rubbing me the wrong way. My wife, toddler, and I were sat by the exit at a table that seemed placed by spirit airlines, tight, and I'm not a hefty guy. We asked for a high chair when we came in and I had to go get it. Then I had to ask to be moved to another table, this one was unbearably tight. We were quickly relocated and then the wait. The menu and the wait, the drinks, and the wait. The staff were nice enough but seemed stressed which you feel. Food, service and atmosphere were not even up to par with the previous location. The old place made you want to stick around, have dessert, and have a few drinks. This place says, eat and get out. The food was mediocre no matter how many fries you throw at me, the food took forever. This place is also not cheap. I eat out a few times a week and personally, it'll be a cold day in hell before I go back here. A lot better places in Langley at this price point. Hopefully this is just and ajustment phase and they'll be back or they'll be gone.
Absolutely trash... We waited an hour, but that's fine. We get it, Saturday nights are busy. After we got seated, we waited for an hour for food, they finally at least got us some super small portion fries after I asked. Fries and yam fries came up cold, and they served this weirdly cut up fish and chips without the tarar sauce... I questioned, and the waitress said, "I don't know, the kitchen gave me this" "this is not fish and chips, please bring it back to the kitchen." I said. "you will have to wait again if I bring it back" she said. So they did made a mistake and brought me the proper fish and chips 25 minutes later, after everyone at my table finished their food. No apology, no explanation, nothing. They took it off the bill without saying anything. If you have time for bad food and service, this is the place to go :
Redrobins has always been a great go to restaurant when looking for a hearty meal, great milk shakes and deserts. Great family restaurant too Decided to check out the red robins that just moved next to the mall and i have to say i was not disappointed. The host welcomed us with a great smile and helped us to our seats. Our server/ bartender Carly was amazing and her energy was great too. She made sure our drinks were on time and the cocktail i received was amazing. We didn’t order much in food but we enjoyed out onion ring tower which was made great with a nice crunch to it. I loved that it wasn’t oily and came right on time. The new location is great in a great spot. Right next to the mall where you can do your shopping and grab a great meal after or even before and lots of parking spots with a few minutes walk to the door. The atmosphere is great too.
I used to come here in the 90’s and it was the best place to come to in Langley. Although the hamburger was pretty good I would give it a 5/10 score in general. The smell of the carpets was overwhelming, the dirt in between the tables was disgusting and the plastic glasses were unprofessional. *If the tables and restaurant are brutally dirty what does that mean about the kitchen? What a shame…I wanted to relive my happiness from childhood eating here but the recent experience scarred my mind forever.
Previously I had given a lower rating because the restaurant had dipped a bit. Me and the Family went today and were greated inside from I believe her name was Hannah. She was great. Then our waitress Sam took care of us the rest of the way. Sam, your service was excellent. The food was great, but it was the excellent service that really did it. Keep up the good work!!
