I don't have a complaint but I do have a warning for people who deposit money through an ATM.
NEVER, EVER deposit money through an ATM, banks and Credit Unions don't process any deposits through the ATM's. All those envelopes are taken to a clearing house to be processed. If your missing money it went missing at the clearing house and there isn't much that can be done about it.

I'm absolutely disgusted with RBC This review has been posted to the main RBC social media site and I am expecting a response to this message. I made a cash deposit a week ago after hours using my branch's ATM. Today I received a letter advising me the envelope contents did not match the balance to the transaction amount and $5680 have been debited from my account. I drove straight from the mailbox to the branch to discuss this. The manager was in an office less than 10 ft away and couldn't be bothered to come out to address the issue although they were discussing the matter with the teller. I was just advised by the teller to call the 1800 number, that there was nothing they would be able to do at the branch but they were aware of problems with the machine. I was handed a printout showing the front and back of the deposit envelope which showed a tally of the bank notes supposedly found inside. I asked if I should file a police report this met with a resounding 'NO'. When I arrived back home, just before ringing the 1800 number I discover an answer phone message from the branch advising me that on further investigation they have found that the money is back in my account, ( as of Friday last week) and that the problem was probably due to a mix up of the envelope contents?! Shouldn't the first thing the teller have done is bring up my account details? It would have been clear the money was there and would have prevented a lot of unnecessary stress. I get regular phone calls from RBC asking me if I want to upgrade/change accounts, take out credit cards etc. yet nobody bothered to phone me about the initial issue or that it had since been resolved. It seemed like the blind leading the blind in that branch and this is the first Canadian account I have held so I can't compare it to an experience with another branch. British banks are in a completely different league as far as customer service is concerned. The way they treat customers is disgraceful

Worst location to deal with. Have dealt with 3 other locations and had no trouble in last 25 years. They dont return calls or emails in a timely manner. Branch manager was not at all helpful. Mortgage specialist was terrible and screwed us in the end. Would not reccomend using this branch.
