Rayburns Marine (Kelowna)

Have you ever paid $300 for a $2 o-ring that takes about 1 minute to install? I did, at Rayburns Marine. Took the boat in for service to diagnose and repair a gear oil leak. The problem was a missing o-ring on the leg, which a qualified boat technician should have recognised and replaced immediately. They ended up taking the entire drive train off. In the process they forgot to reconnect my speedo line, so I had to take the boat back to get fixed again. The service manager was supposed to explain why the $300 bill was reasonable, but he did not address that when I went back.

Over the years, I have bought, traded and sold boats through Rayburns and can attest to the high level of professionalism and excellent service provided at all times. Employee attitude, happiness and length of service are a key measurement of a company's worth and it is these attributes that are very apparent at Rayburns and make it such a pleasure to do business there. With an ownership background in high end auto sales and service I have a very good understanding of a customer's expectations and mine have always been more than adequately fulfilled in my dealings with this company. If we could give less than one star we would! We were looking for a new service dept/dealer and this is the worst service we've ever experienced! So we will be looking elsewhere! It's been over 6wks we've been waiting for a response/answer/call/email/apology/reimbursement/acknowledgement.... anything for our disaster of an experience with our boat in the service dept. We will never, ever go back or recommend any boat owner go to Rayburn's!

My 2016 SD24 is the third Cobalt I have owned, first time moving up to a larger boat. The boat is awesome! Cobalt is hands down, the best built pleasure craft there is. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have a quality dealer like Rayburns right here in Kelowna to sell and service them as well. Well done, Kevin, and team!
