I have been here a few times now over the years and the wings/ fries and other menu items usually hit crazy. Idk this last time the food was not up to the usual par. One friend ordered a margarita pizza took two bites and didn’t eat anymore. Another friend ordered the chicken Philly and couldn’t eat more than 1/2 since she didn’t like the taste. Another friend ordered the patty melt and was disappointed as well. Even the wings I bragged so much to them about under delivered this time. The server was nice, but I’ve never had an issue with servers anytime I’ve visited this establishment. This is my first time here since after the pandemic so maybe that’s why it fell off slightly, might be a staff issue or just an off night. ‍

Nothing but good things to say about dinner at Ray Jay‘s in Minneapolis. We visited on Monday night for a birthday dinner and sat out on the patio. All of the food was great. Traditional boneless and a burger were ordered it was burger night as a special. All of the sauces we received were amazing the Sriracha peanut sauce was so good and there was a garlic spread on my burger that I couldn’t get enough of. We received a buy one get one free drink for the birthday boy. Would we visit again? Yes Food 5/5 Drink 5/5 Service 5/5

I love this place! Beat happy hour in the Twin Cities! 3-7 everyday!!! Food is great, drinks are solid and the atmosphere lends itself to chatting with friends both inside and on the patio.

First time here and I was pretty disappointed because I read in reviews the cheese curds and wings are awesome. The curds were way too crispy like some were just straight fried crisps of batter. The few good pieces were really good.. but not worth it. I took one bite of the drunken wings and the were SO SALTY and SO COATED in sauce it made me feel sick. The manager said they had them earlier and the sauce was prepared with a bad ratio of the asian zing but I guess they didn’t remake a better batch of sauce? The two specialty cocktails were straight sugar and the pic of what I took home explains the rest… dirty celery and these “blackened” wings just taste like salt. Maybe their other sauces dry rubs are good, the wings are big I give ‘em that but that’s about it. Server and manager was friendly. Host was super kind

Perfect sports bar and great staff. Plenty of TVs to watch multiple games and Greta prices for food and drinks. The waffle fries are the perfect appetizer for two and even better with some drinks. I also recommend the wings and be prepared for their size.

I ordered a medium juicy lucy. It didn’t come with any toppings and it wasn’t an option when I ordered - it came very well done and very dry. I also got a side of potato salad and they literally put 4 bites in the bottom of a container. I spent a lot just for those 2 items, and I was very disappointed. Not worth it.

I've been on a "wing" journey around the metro for the past 5 years and Ray J's falls into the top 3! We also love the service!

I’ve had a burger from Ray J’s three times now! I’d definitely recommend the Garlic Burger. I made the mistake this time of ordering the Cheeseburger and it had no toppings - just cheese and a burger. I sort of assumed toppings were included?  Service has been great for pickup - the bartender was attentive and friendly.  I’ll probably be back, but DO NOT order the cheeseburger if you expect it to have toppings.

So good! Pizza and wings were fantastic.

Every time I have visited this bar I've enjoyed my experience. Service is fast and friendly and the food is great quality. The cheese curds are Wisconsin fresh mozzarella served with jalapeño ranch. I recommend asking for marinara sauce as they pair really well together. I came for wings today and was very satisfied with them. They come in half size 4 wings, or full size 8 wings. They are really big and juicy with just the right amount of crispy crunchity on the outside. Recommend the drunken sauce and the homestyle falvoring, which is a rub. Writing this review made me hungry again.
