Ravenwood RV Resort

What a 'Gem" of a campground. My husband and I camped at Ravenwood this past weekend with our two dogs, and will definitely be going back. It is a beautifully manicured campground. Each space has a lush green lawn, picnic table and hook-ups. The RV pads are pristinely level compacted dirt/gravel. Most of the sites have mature pine trees to provide shade. The owner, Jeff, his family and the campground workers provide exceptional, friendly service. The pool wasn't open yet - but I can envision the pool and surrounding patio filled with laughter and a great place to cool off in the summer. We'll be back to try it. The entire campground is fenced in, and provides great security. The store has the basics you may have forgotten, cool refreshments, and an assortment of other fun items like sweatshirts and bird houses made by a local woodworker...they are incredible. The fenced in dog park has abundant room and was a great place for our golden and springer to chase after balls, chew on a few sticks and get some good exercise. Jeff says he built the place himself and it is still a work in progress. We think it is terrific right now. It's nice to support a local business owner as opposed to a national chain. As long as you are self contained with a shower and a toilet you will be great. Jeff has built the bathrooms and showers, but the powers that be who regulate that, have not given approval for them to be open yet. There are plenty of nice porta-potties if needed. Oh and for all the families looking to take in Silverwood - it's just a hop, skip and jump up the road. We definitely recommend Ravenwood as a great place for RV camping.

Super nice people, owners are very helpful. No showers or toilets, very few full hookup sites. We had booked full hookup 6 mo in advance but they gave to someone else because they couldn't contact us and we were late (we were traveling poor cell reception). They made up for misunderstanding with discounts. If they had toilets and showers I would rate 5 stars as is staff gets 5 stars but park 4.

This park was very clean managers are very nice and work with you depending on your situation yes they may like showers and toilets but they make up for it and cleanliness and friendliness will definitely recommend this park to my friends who come from other states

We stayed at Ravenwood for our family trip. There were no facilities other than RV hook ups and port a pottys. They do have a pool that we did not use, but it looked very inviting. You cannot burn a campfire here. You can hear the highway from the campsites in the middle of the grounds. In my opinion it was a bit lack luster to be considered a "resort". The positive things are it was fairly inexpensive for the 4 spots we were lucky enough to have gotten together, and it was like a 5 minute drive to Silverwood.

This is a pretty park in a great location. Free shuttle service to Silverwood and they sell tickets at a discounted rate. This RV park has a lot of potential but currently with some downfalls. Things will be better when they get bathrooms and showers. They let you know about that up front and our RV has that so it was not an issue for us. I would like to see fire pits. Traffic noise is not too bad. We slept well. Site was level. The staff is excellent. Pool looks nice. In my opinion the price was a bit too much considering the work that still needs to be done. It would be a fair amount with bathrooms. We would like to stay again and look forward to seeing future improvements.
