Rapscallion Table & Tap

We hired Rapscallion Table & Tap to host my sister's bridal shower this past weekend. From the very beginning, Peter was so easy to work with. He was very responsive by e-mail despite contacting him during the holiday season and was able to provide an impressive option for food choices (basically anything we could think of) as well as including their yummy beer and wine in a quote. We went to test out the food prior to the shower and were not disappointed with our dinner. Everything was delicious. I felt no stress leading up to the day of the shower. On the day of, Peter and his staff ensured that everything ran smoothly. We are still receiving compliments from guests of how amazing the food was! They even took the time to make special meals for 3 of our guests who have food allergies even though I neglected to tell them in advance about these allergies. The staff was quick to refill guests' glasses and NO ONE left hungry. They were super accommodating for everything we wanted to do in the space and offered help when things went wrong (my centerpieces didn't hold water!). We had several no shows the day of the shower and Peter ensured the quote was slightly lowered ACTUALLY reflected the no shows (unheard of in the venue world). I have thrown many a shower and this by far was the BEST VENUE! Amazing food, drink, and staff! I highly recommend them! I cannot stress how amazing everything was!

I wondered why this place always seems to be full, and I'm still wondering after a pretty terrible first experience. Bison meatloaf came out still cold in the center (frozen and not fully reheated?) and fish and chips were room temperature (probably sitting out as it took over 45 minutes to be served). When we told the waitress that the food was cold, she insisted that "that shouldn't be the case" and that they're very good at running the food out as it's done. She said she would talk to the manager, but he only did a lap around the room and never came over to our table specifically to check in. All in all, paid $80+ for a bad experience. Won't be returning or recommending. EDIT: Been having digestive issues all day... connected?

I almost hate to give this restaurant a good review because it will only get more popular but really, I can't say enough good things about it. The menu is varied and interesting, the food is quite good, the drinks are inventive and the atmosphere is very cool. It's not cheap but totally worth it. I can't wait to go back and take family and friends with me.

One of the best pubs in the area. Food is always excellent, and service is prompt and friendly. Great beer choices on tap, too (brewed in Sturbridge).

Good food even better beer. Price between $24 -$30 a dish, but absolutely delicious. I hate eating at places where I feel I could cook something better for less. This was not one of those, absolutely stellar food.
