Ramada Waupaca

Was in town for a wedding, not held at this location. As you walk up you can tell its an old building, the exterior is rough. The inside is dated, the staff was very nice, the pool was open hot tub and smaller pool was closed, all of them are inside. The place has an early 90s feel to it. The room was clean, the bathroom was small. The bed was comfortable, lots of road noise it's right off the roadway. If you stay on the bottom floors you can hear the people above you easily. I had a king it had a lazy boy recliner in the room, odd, but I guess interesting. The price was decent, the breakfast was average. We used the shuttle bus to get to the wedding the driver was good. If you stay expect outdated, mostly clean, good service. It worked in a pinch.

We visited on the weekend, Oct. 7&8, 2022. Terrible service. No consideration for the guests. Didn’t clean the room even though we asked personally to the cleaning lady. Overall lack of cleanliness. The reception area was very disorderly. Poor attention from the lady at the reception desk. Would not stay there again.

It was okay not the 110.00 night rate though. Room had light shades torn chips in wall other room bed was broken called front desk early in day. Came back from wedding still was broken night manager and I fixed. Being a handicap room should have been high on list. Pool was open not hot tub kids play area closed. Did give discount could have been more. Was there 6 years ago and it was nice don't know what happened

This property is so worn out. I'm surprised Wyndham would even put their brand on this. Common areas, pool area, elevator, carpets, outside landscaping...everywhere you look just dirty. Someone using a chainsaw cutting down a tree in the dark, 8:30 at night, outside my window. Couldn't even hear the TV. Whirlpool not working, kiddy pool area closed. Just awful! I'm keeping my shoes on in the room, sleeping fast, and getting out soonest in the AM. Yuk!!

Paid quite a bit to stay here and yet the water slides were blocked off and hot tub was empty and our whirlpool tub in our suite had horrible jets. Would be nice to be offered a partial refund due to these issues we weren't made aware of prior to checking in.Rooms: 3/5

I reserved a room for the night before Thanksgiving and the night of. I was with family and didn’t get checked into the hotel until around 1am. Check-in process was fine. However, once I got to my floor I realized that the floor I was on was under construction. I assumed this would not be an issue as it was Thanksgiving and they likely wouldn’t be working on Thanksgiving and I planned to check out the next morning by 7am. My assumption was completely wrong which I found out at 8 AM when I was woken up by air compressors, power tools, hammering, pounding and loud music. Upon walking out of my hotel room, I realized I was in a full on active construction site. Workers were everywhere. Tarps were all over the floor, paint trays and ladders were in the middle of the hallway, air compressors were running, power tools were being used - we’re talking full on active construction zone including in the room directly next to mine! We’re not talking they were painting the walls, we’re talking full on construction remodel. I went to the front desk and requested a refund & he immediately knew why there was a problem. He offered me a room on a different floor of the hotel, but I politely declined that room as every floor had construction equipment on it. He said the general manager is the one who authorizes the refunds, but it shouldn’t be a problem as I was leaving immediately. I was in the hotel a total of less than 8 hours. After waiting a week for my refund, I contacted the hotel. I spoke with the manager Debbie, who informed me that she could only refund me part of the full amount I paid as she was only paid $142 of what I paid since I booked through Expedia. I had paid Expedia $216 for both nights, and she said she could only offer me a refund of $142 because that is what Expedia had paid her. She suggested that I contact Expedia as that would be the only way for me to get the full amount that I had paid refunded to me. I contacted Expedia who said they could only refund one night because they said that after they contacted the manager Debbie she only approved a one night refund which is completely different than what she had told me. So now I’m out over $100 because the hotel refused to refund me the amount they said they would and Expedia can’t refund the money unless they get the approval from the general manager. I’ve tried unsuccessfully for two days to contact the general manager Debbie - no one has even answered the phone. Their business practices are shady and I will never use this hotel again. Side note, the hot tub and small pool are still broken and have been since the last time I was there over 6 months prior. This place has zero concern for your comfort during your stay and only cares about your money.

Does the wrong price for our stay and they say they will you a refund when you decide not to stay for their price gouging hotel. 2 months later and still nothing, you ask to talk to the manager and they are oh so conveniently never there. Would think if your untrained employee is the one who messed up you would fix it. Save your time and money and don’t stay at this place

Ok place, clean room, average bed, seems like the walls are very thin, water fun stuff hasn't worked for some time but pool looks nice, breakfast is marginal at bestRooms: 3/5

The room was not that clean. Our keys stopped working and they charged us extra. Alot of things are out of order. The food for breakfast is ok, ive had worst.Rooms: 1/5

Run down pool area. Construction supplies laying up and down every hallway. The Construction guys don't clean up after themselves. Rooms where about average.Rooms: 2/5
