So disappointed, I never normally leave bad reviews… Just picked up “Vegetable lo mein “ which had no vegetables and noodles were dried up an flavourless. Salmon sashimi was thrown out because it was warm, slimy and falling apart so I was concerned that it had gone bad.
2 days in a row...... Came in yesterday afternoon, they had half the food they should have out. We left....disappointed! Came in again today at 7:50pm after I finished work and the entire hot food section was closed....no food whatsoever. This is not the first time we have entered this place and they have nothing ready. Service has always been good here, however, there are other Asian Restaurants nearby....they will get our business from now on. Locally owned in Belleville continues to be a bortleneck....either no food OR waaaay overpriced. Truly sad.
Ordered Bibimbap, Jajjangmyeon black bean sauce noodles and veggie Bento thru Uber - had extra service charge for requesting substitute for beef ~$3 for additional egg/veg. Customer service was excellent, took care of the misunderstanding, although I don't think my order had any substitute for the protein unfortunately recommend a vegetarian option, like Gogi. Noodle to sauce ratio for jajang was extra generous for sauce, noodles would have been drowned, and unfortunately did clump after sitting in container for a while could use some sesame or other oil to avoid in transit. Pleasantly surprised by generous avocado and yam tempura portions in sushi, though japchae side was a bit odd/bland mixed with neon Costco seaweed salad, included. Maybe I'm just used to seasoned spinach as typical side at Korean sushi places.
I love this place, the food sometimes takes longer than expected, especially when they're busy, and sometimes they're closed for no apparent reason, but that's all right. I would definitely recommend, great prices
New owners, new review. The restaurant now seems divided into your standard steamline North American Chinese buffet, and then numerous bowls that are advertised separately. I had the bidimbap which was very good. The other bowls also seem quite enticing and look fresh and are reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the steamline fare is still as with previous owners mediocre at best; the chicken balls were about five percent meat, and the other meat we tried was grisly and bland. Stay away from the buffet I'd say. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
I got the vegetable bento for take away. The sushi was delicious, I loved the tempura yam roll and the miso soup was great. I've never had seaweed salad before, it was ok flavour wise, just not for me. The japchae was a bit of a letdown. It had a little bit of flavor but I expected something other then just seasoned noodles. Any other time I have had it there were vegetables, sesame seeds, just something else other then noodles. I will certainly order again, very nice variety and comparable prices to other places.
Service was super friendly & quick! The cashier was very kind. However, the food could definitely be better. I would avoid the california & spring rolls, but the chicken fried rice & honey garlic chicken tasted pretty alright!
Honestly my favorite sushi place in belleville I've been to many but I always seem to get dragged back to this one amazing workers and amazing food
This review is for Ta-Ke Kitchen which opened in March 2018 not Queen's Wok which used to be there before. It's Japanese-Korean-Chinese food. I love their okonomiyaki - a savoury Japanese pancake made from umami batter, cabbage, ham and - I'm pretty sure - bonito flakes. Their take-out menu not only includes chicken fried rice with choice of entrees but also sushi rolls. Their spring and egg rolls are cabbage based, not bean sprouts based. The food tastes so refreshingly different from the usual ones you get in town. I aim to try everything in their menu. The jjampong spicy korean soup is really tasty.
Best Sushi in Quinte Area. We always ordered H. Maki & Sushi & Sashimi Tray. Highly recommended.
