Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Story

Queen Elizabeth Theatre is an auditorium at Exhibition Place, Toronto, Canada. It originally opened in 1956 and was renovated circa 2010, now seating approximately 1,250 for concerts and other stage events. The building also houses the Fountainblu Banquet Centre with 5,500 square feet of indoor meeting space. Box offices for events are located at the entrance of the building. The Theatre is situated in the Queen Elizabeth Building, which also has an administration building and an exhibition hall. One music reviewer describes the theatre in these terms: "From a listening standpoint, the Queen Elizabeth Theatre boasts near-perfect sound, but its stateliness makes it better suited to a lecture or a play than a rock show."The owner of the building is the City of Toronto. Since 2006, it has been operated under a long-term lease by Bruno Sinopoli, the owner and operator of the Mod Club in Toronto.

Came for a concert, I have no complaints. Good venue! The bar is nice and the space is clean.
Attended Brian Cox show at the Queen Elizabeth Theater. Cozy, comfortable, contemporary theater. Great view from pretty much any seat.
Saw Imogen Heap and Frou Frou there!! The theatre is quant and is showing some age, lots of leg room in between rows, but the cushions have past there days. The carpeting has some stans from entertainment over the years. Nice ambiance for an intimate concert. We had a great time on the mycilia tour!!
Stunning theatre and we always enjoy Coastal Christmas production every year. Great venue. Easy access and convenience. Parking pretty expensive
I've been to a bunch of concerts at this venue. It a big enough venue to attract well established artists but small enough for there really to be no bad seats. There is a bar to buy drinks and you can bring them into the venue. It is a bit of a walk to public transport. The sound is usually pretty good.
