Punje Spice Indian Restaurant

I like to support small local family restaurants; however I won't be going back... The food was okay, but not amazing as most Indian food can be... Also ordered spicy and it most definitely was NOT spicy at all. The kicker for me was standing right in front of the till holding their takeout menu in my hand, where it is clearly printed that there is a discount offered if your takeout order is $40 or over. Which mine was. I pointed to the writing and asked for a discount as I was paying (which is why I ordered extra food to spend the required amount). She said (as I am standing there with this coupon in my hand), oh no, you can't have the discount, you have to come in with the coupon. (???!??!) I'm standing in front of you holding it and it's your advertisement, not mine. And this "stipulation" you just made up isn't printed on the said coupon. A new level of (ironic) customer service.

So delicious! We found out about this restaurant from Groupon, and they never disappoint. The food is some of the best Indian food around. Great location in White Rock allows for a nice stroll afterwards. Arrive early or be prepared to wait on weekends, as they fill up fast and there are only around 10-12 tables inside. Well worth the wait though.

Food was amazing we got a group on for four and got to try several dishes. It's a small place very hidden wouldn't even know it was there if it wasn't for the group on. Definitely would go back. The waitress seemed very grumpy kinda felt slightly unwelcomed by her. But we gave her a nice top so maybe it will brighten her night.

Decent! I have been here twice now for the lunch buffet. The food is decent for the price you pay. Service is a bit slow with clearing plates, and keeping our water full. All in all it's A-O-K.

Great food at the daily buffet. Vegetarian options available. Ambiance a little lacking. Reasonably priced.
