Founded in 2011, PUBLIC serves casual, inventive American food with an emphasis on freshness, flavor, and in-house preparation. The restaurant offers an extensive, rotating craft beer program with 11 taps and over a dozen additional selections in bottles, along with a carefully curated wine list and inventive cocktail offerings.

PUBLIC serves lunch Thursday - Sunday from 11:30am + dinner 7 days from 4pm. The bar is open until midnight or later.

Public is our go to spot for my wife & I. We always get great service, great food, and the people who are always here working are always nice to chat with. The drinks are unique; the food is not "fast food" and we love the cheese board. Never had a bad meal here in the 15+ times we have been. Highly recommended

We had a pleasant visit on a very cold night. The staff were friendly to regulars and visitors alike. The food exceeded expectations and the draft selection was particularly interesting and local. We'd recommend and return.

Amazing delicious food in a nice New England atmosphere. Food was delicious and very resonably priced. It was cold in the restaurant, due to it being most windows, so expect to wear a jacket in winter. Besides that a great little place to eat lunch/dinner. It's right near mass MOCA which makes it the perfect place to grab some food before or after the museum. Will definitely return!

A gem in North Adams! This is our "local" place as we are fortunate to have Public in our backyard! Friendly service (almost always), great drink selections and food that never disappoints. Quality ingredients prepared with care. Hard for me to get past the "Public Burger" sometimes, delicious and always cooked as ordered. Two keys to going to Public on a weekend night, use the Nowait app, gets you a place in line as Public does not take reservations. Say Hi to Jesse the bartender and his creative cocktail creations! edit: My wife wanted me to add that the new Beet Sandwich is absolutely devine! I won't comment as Beet's aren't my thing! Beet Sandwich red beets, honey-tarragon goat cheese, Peace Valley Farm field greens, roasted shallot balsamic vinaigrette, served on sour dough with fries
