Founded in 2011, PUBLIC serves casual, inventive American food with an emphasis on freshness, flavor, and in-house preparation. The restaurant offers an extensive, rotating craft beer program with 11 taps and over a dozen additional selections in bottles, along with a carefully curated wine list and inventive cocktail offerings.

PUBLIC serves lunch Thursday - Sunday from 11:30am + dinner 7 days from 4pm. The bar is open until midnight or later.

In town for the weekend and are here on a busy Friday night. We made reservations online earlier in the day and the first opening was at 8 pm, so keep that in mind!nnThe bar/tenders are expert. I had an eye drink and husband had something the bar tender made up based on his vague description. We were a little early so had our drinks in a comfortable lounge area with a comfortable couch.? The waitress kept us updated on the progress on our table. We felt very taken care of.nnThe food was good but we weren’t blown away. I had the Cuban sandwich and my partner had the mussels. We also had two apps: salad and goat cheese. It was all a bit over-salted, but tasty. We’d definitely go back and try something else from the menu. It was reasonably priced, atmosphere was amazing, service stellar.
My family of 5 2 adults/ 3 kids had an awesome experience at PUBLIC. We all ordered from the main menu FYI. There is a kid menu but it is not printed. Every bite of food on every plate was delicious. The flavor combinations were exceptional. The dishes were creative carne asada with a hint of fennel was awesome. The beers were great. Waitress was super nice too. Highly recommend! We will be back next time we are in NA nnWe ordered the NY strip, carne asada, tempura chicken tenders and mac and cheese.
Amazed with the ambiance and service at PUBLIC eat+drink. The cuisine is outstanding, offering a variety of delectable options, including impressive choices for both vegans and those preferring non-alcoholic drinks.
This place is awesome! They make everything delicious. The attention to detail is insane. They split the food for us and they even gave us a beer where half of the glass had the sugar glaze and the other half didn't I didn't want the glaze and my girl did for our 1st beer. Great times!
Public is one of the best restaurants in Northern Berkshire County. They're in a good location with plenty of parking, the ambiance is great, and the staff are all friendly.nnTheir menu prices are slightly higher than similar restaurants in the area, but the quality of the food more than justifies the pricing. Every meal I've had here is truly exceptional.nnYou won't be disappointed if you go here - just keep in mind that you'll probably need a reservation at peak times. It's very popular with locals and tourists alike.
