Great place. Don't forget to bring your digital copy to take pictures of the material.
I visited for the first time to look at microfilm of old Edmonton Journal newspapers from the 1970s. Cool building and very kind and helpful people that work there. Very valuable resource to have in Edmonton, I look forward to visiting again!
Very cool tour! So much information is stored here!
One day the provincial archives of Alberta will have a story of its own to share with our future generations to come to end in the History book’s forever in Alberta Canada .
We were doing some genealogy research while on a trip to Edmonton. The Archives were excellent and the staff were massively helpful. I know people try to get away with online only but some times you need to go to the source. Holding a original piece of paper signed by your Great Great Grandfather is an experience all by itself.
It’s great to see the growth of Asian Indian history in records! There’s lots of information for future researchers to unpack.
So much history and documentation. Had a fun research date with my wife here.
