A family member recently had an outpatient procedure here at St. Mary's. The doctors and support staff were just phenomenal. We were seen promptly at our appointment time, kept informed of where we were in the process, and made to feel like we were the sole reason for our team being at work that day.nThe cleanliness and adherence to proper sanitary and disinfecting procedures was spot-on one of us is a nurse, the other a retired hospital stationary engineer, and we left post-surgery confident that we had received the best medical care available anywhere.nFive stars, cannot recommend highly enough.
I’ve had orders to have my blood drawn for over 3 months now. The clinic didn’t have what they needed to do my blood draw, and I was told that they would call me when the equipment came in a month later I called them back because I didn’t hear anything. They had no clue what I was talking about another month went by I didn’t hear anything call back. They put the order in to get the supplies they needed, we’re over Three months and now they want me to go to St to the hospital and to the outpatient and be charged twice for blood draws. I called to make sure that they’re open like they said they would be and they tell me that they’re closed for the day is it? I just want to get my blood work done so we can figure out what’s wrong with me yet there’s no cooperation from the Medical side.
This hospital is garbage! Thankfully I live near Tacoma. I was in St Mary's hospital in 2022. Had no clue what was wrong. But I had a fever of 106.3. the nurse thought that the thermometer was wrong so she got another one. She thought maybe it's battery was dead so she got another one. She put it in my mouth for all of about 2 seconds before she took it out and said that my temperature was barely above 100. I was sent home with them saying that I had a kidney infection, they said nothing about having sepsis. I returned home back to Tacoma the following day and thinking that everything was okay. It was just a kidney infection. The medicine needed time to work. I was waiting it out and eight days later I go back to the hospital and my sedimentation rate was still at 51 and I still had an infection. The doctor here changed my medication and also sent me home. I have seen someone go through sepsis before. It's not pretty. It's not comfortable and then watching the previous person have sepsis in the way that I had sepsis. They were hospitalized for 19 days in Tacoma. Walla Walla just sent me home and was like fend for yourself. I could have died.nnAnd now I have a sibling who is so unbelievably swollen that she can't put her hair in a ponytail because raising her arms up to do so chokes her and they tell her that it's likely caused because she is obese. Walla Wall needs real medical professionals not these got my license out of a cracker jack box yahoos.nnI have a son-in-law who was stabbed who was at St. Mary's hospital who they waited three and a half hours before trying to transfer to Tri-Cities and the autopsy showed that his wound was fixable if he received help sooner and he's dead now and he was unfortunately an illegal immigrant whose family has absolutely no ground to stand on without jeopardizing being deported.
Had a scheduled c-section for the birth of our daughter. Every single nurse, CNA, doctor and specialist treated us extremely well. Everyone was kind, compassionate and caring. The nurses took excellent care of us. The dietary team was courteous and prompt. The CNAs were helpful and kind. Every single doctor was excellent in care as well as bedside manner. So much better than a previous experience on the west side of the state. Thank you for making a scary time a little less stressful!
I was recently to St. Mary's to get checked out for gastro issues however the front staff asked a few more questions of my symptoms and immediately got me checked in, as they believed I was having a cardiac event. I was admitted and they were correct, I had had a mild heart attack! The nurses, doctors and everyone who I dealt with were beyond kind; compassionate and extremely hardworking. I couldn't have received any better care anywhere else.nHaving been a resident of Walla Walla for 37 years and not having visited the ER before; I received top notch care and rest assured I would highly recommend this facility for anyone needing medical care. 5 stars for all!! Thank you for kindness- your hard work was noticed and appreciated nAnne Kearney Heath
