Amazing food and staff. Love how much variety of craft beer there is here. Roof top patio is perfection. Fantastic location. I definitely recommend coming during happy hour if it's your first time so you can try everything at a good price.
Great drinks, fries were delicious! We sat out on the patio and we were served right away. We ordered some drinks and food. The drinks took a little bit to come. The fries were great and the pizza was pretty good, it needed a bit more cheese. The food also took a little while to come out. It was busy when we were there so it was understandable. Staff were friendly - they were doing their best to serve everyone and you could tell they we’re trying to cover a lot of tables at once. Overall we enjoyed our food and drinks. There wasn’t really anything too special or memorable that I would come back right away. But it’s good option for a bar with a roof top patio and street patio in Kensington.
Sat upstairs in the beautiful outdoor patio. Nice plants and spacious. Great views and people watching, the chairs were uncomfortable though. Nice servers, a little slow on service but loads of patience for hard workers who just need a few more people working those busy times. Management should address this so I can give 5 stars next time. Cocktails, beer and wine selections were great. Had the spicy Marie and the Caesar - both well made and unique. Had the Cubano, smashed beets with goat cheese and the braised lamb platter. Very impressed with this "pub" food. It was definitely elevated, thoughtful and delicious. Not the gravy though - that was not good. Particularly impressed by the pork belly on the Cubano, the various fresh herbs and flavours on the lamb platter and the house pickles. Our server, Marie, was very helpful and had great suggestions. The overall reno is light, clean and airy but the upstairs outdoor bathroom could use some love. We'll be back and are looking forward to some live music. Thanks guys!
Very nice rooftop patio with a good amount of tables. Going for the happy hours is a must! Great selection of craft beers and sours and they all taste really good. Can't say I like the sandwiches much, but the flatbreads are great.
Super yum food and a really cool upstairs patio! Also they claim to have the cities best Caesar… it was pretty damn good!
FreeHouse is an awesome spot with fantastic food. Great beer selection, cocktails and friendly people! The location and rooftop are so fantastic, we even got married here! Matty threw us an awesome party and FreeHouse has become our local since then! Try the charred broccolini
Amazing late night spot for a bite with the girls for a birthday celebration! We happened upon this sweet patio and the food was phenomenal. The mushroom flatbread was large pizza sized and the broccolini was a deadly flavour I didn’t expect to love!
Friendly staff, tasty food and drinks. Happy hour all day, cant complain! While admit I have nostalgia for the pubs' previous dingy pub location 'molly malone's', this new look is fresh and tasty!
I recently visited this pub and ordered the croquettes, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I was shocked to receive only two croquettes on my plate, which I had to pay $16 for. This price is exorbitant for such a small portion size and left me feeling ripped off. The croquettes themselves were nothing special - they were mediocre at best. The serving size was so small that I was still hungry after finishing them of course, just two little ones, which is unacceptable considering the high price I paid. Overall, my experience at this pub was very unsatisfactory, and I won't be returning. I think charging such a high price for such a small serving size is unacceptable, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who is looking for good value for their money. Save your money and go somewhere else where you can get a decent serving size for a fair price. I would have left the place without tipping as protest, but the server red hair girl was amazing and she deserved.
Met with a girlfriend for a patio experience and weren't disappointed. Amazing food those potato skins were to die for. Fantastic service. Excellent menu, and I was happy to hear they'd removed a couple of items due to very distasteful and public posts from Valbella meats. They were sourcing new suppliers at that time. Will definitely be going back.
