Our 17th season w/James Beard Award winning Chef Melissa Kelly ends for the winter after 1/8/2017. Reopen in early May. 2017 reservations begin 4/1/2017.
There are many dining options at Primo, established in 2000 within a 130+ year-old country farmhouse on a hill overlooking the Rockland, ME Harbor. Over the years, the restaurant has gone through several phases of expansion, and today offers dining on two floors, with seating for approx 130 guests.
Our second -floor Counter Room and Cocktail Lounge include dinner service at cozy, casual tables, and on bar or counter stools, beginning at 5PM. No reservations required in these two first-come, first-served spaces, and both our tapas-inspired Counter Menu and the daily-changing Dinner Menu are available to choose from.
On the first floor, our two historic and intimate dining rooms provide a white-tablecloth ambiance for dinner service beginning at 5:30PM. Also on the first floor, our Primo Room is a larger, more modern-country design, with white-linen draped tables and exquisite Italian stone flooring. Up on our second floor there are two smaller dining rooms with reserved tables as well. Private celebrations can be enjoyed at our Farmers Table located just off The Counter Room on the second floor.
Our beverage selection features Primo specialty cocktails made with farm-grown ingredients, a 400-bottle wine list with ample by-the-glass options, and craft brews on tap and in bottle from some of the best local, regional and national producers.
The Primo Farm is 4+ acres and located on site. Guests enjoy self-guided wandering of the garden paths, viewing the ducks, pigs, Guinea Hens, honey bees and chickens, and discovering the great variety of vegetables, fruits, and other edibles we produce ourselves. And, the view from the farm hilltop of Rockland harbor and the Breakwater Lighthouse is included, too.
In 2014, Co-Owners Executive Chef Melissa Kelly and Price Kushner are excited to celebrate the 15th season of growing and cooking for the Midcoast Maine community and beyond. See you soon!
