Such a cute and fun carousel, the design of all the characters is a wonder, especially considering they're all made from recycled and found materials. It can also be booked for private events as we found out since there was a little girl's birthday party happening when we went. Party guests get to ride unlimited times, but still open to the public. We went on Mother's Day and it wasn't too busy, didn't have to wait at all to go on. Parking is free.
Each seat is handcrafted to be a cool & unique piece. 2 rides for $5 Or 10 for $20. Great value. Free parking and a small outdoor ice rink. Kids loved it. Cool thing is only the kids need tickets. Accompanied adults ride Free!
Yesterday was Labor Day holiday, also the last day of summer holiday for the kids ! We have great fun at Downtown Markham. kids enjoyed the rides at the Pride of Canada Carousel. Each the different characters in the Carousel is a piece of art work by different artists. The kids found it so interesting . It's better to buy 10 tickets at one time , we used them all yesterday.
So fun! Amazing for the Littles . My five year adores this place. The music is great! The rise is fun and they have small activities on the side. Perfect adventure during a weekday.
Great experience for little kids. The carousel is well designed with funny details featuring various Canadian specials. It's kinda 'half indoors' with ceiling so it can work even on rainy days, and it's half open no 360 glass doors so you get fresh air, it works better for ventilation. The only thing is that it'll be too cold in windy winter days, otherwise kids would enjoy MANY rounds as mine did!
The characters of the carousel was hand crafted and painted by a couple. I love that it represents Canada. It adds this uniqueness to Downtown Markham bringing the community together. I went to visit and felt like a kid again. It's open all year round for all to enjoy.
Great fun for all ages!! The artwork is very Canadian and creative. Love the paper ride tickets adding to the retro feel. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!!
9/10 Enjoyed the art work and the ride with our pups. Loved the Canadian theme. $5 for two is the perfect price. Dogs loved it too...-Dw
Been meaning to try this for a while, as we drive by it numerous times. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We opted for the 10 ticket for $20 deal as we figured we would be in the area again and it was something nice to do with the little one, even on rainy days as it's fully covered. Our little one loved the experience so much that each visit, we've gone on the ride twice! They also have the giant connect4 game and a few other things that you can play with for free while you wait or in between rides. There are also picnic tables for you to use, and apparently you can even rent out the space.
We absolutely love this spot, I suggest you come out and have some fun with the little one/s in your life
