Portofino Italian Ristorante

Holy moly amazing food ! We were a little surprised as we stumbled upon it on our way back to B.C. and felt like pasta. We were taken aback initially with the ‘no hat’ rule only because it was unfamiliar but felt at ease immediately. Prawn appetizer is best we’ve ever had. Pastas were ALL unbelievable and the tiramisu and chocolate mouse were unreal ! Will make it part of our road trip stops.

First time here and not the last. Christian is an absolute pleasure and exceptional at his profession. Rob, the Executive Chef, has indulged me with the classic yet modern flavours of Italian cuisine. I can't remember the last time I sat down and enjoyed a meal this good. Truely a great place with great people. Thank you .

Great food but had a very bad customer service experience with one of the young ladies. My husband and I went for dinner on Saturday evening. We arrived at 7:51 pm. Upon entering we were greater by a young lady. I said table for two and she said I would like to remind you that we close at 9:00 pm this evening. I couldn’t believe that was how we were greeted. I looked at my phone and it was 7:51 pm. I almost turned around and walked right out the door. She sat us at our table and when she walked off she shook her head. I think the other mature lady server saw or heard what happened as she moved us to a bigger table and was really kind to us. (Over and above “normal” customer service). It took me a bit to shake this off but at the end of the night, we had a nice time and great food. We exited our evening dinner at 8:40 pm😊 I am a small business owner and if I found out my staff was greeting guests this way I would have let her go right on the spot. She is turning away business before they even get in the door but she doesn’t care as it’s not her business or her family that needs to eat. I hope she learns a life lesson soon.

Wow! I was really impressed by the Italian food and the service here. My family was here for a birthday dinner and I ordered the scampi shrimp appetizer and the seafood fettuccine. So yummy! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Polite service and clean. Nice environment. Positives- tasty desserts and the bread and butter. Co workers steak was tasty. Negative- calamari was rubbery, lin cod $30 and not good at all. Not worth your Money unless you plan to go for dessert.
