Exercise & Nutrition seem to be keys to good health. Today, my visit to Planet Fitness met my exercise needs. Checked in with amiable Brendan & Andy. Hit some of the machines along with the elliptical. Pleased that the multitude of TV's had a diverse menu of selections. Finished, the workout relaxing on one of their massage chairs. Closed my eyes and vicariously revisited a special massage that was bestowed on me by a lovely Jamaican. Hit a lot of spots. May visit Planet Fitness tomorrow -- no problems Mon!
The renovation and expansion of this location has done wonders for the member experience. The “Black Card Spa” is well worth the extra cost each month. With 3 types of tanning, Total Body Enhancement, 4 HydroMassage beds, and two massage chairs that even massage the arms and hands, it is an elevated experience for sure. The gym itself is more spaced out, with more space in between equipment, so it’s easier to get around. There is still frequently no Smith Machine or free weight bench available without waiting, but that speaks to how popular the club is. There is almost always plenty of cardio equipment available at any hour I’ve seen. Overall a great improvement! It’s so busy it might be time to start working on the next expansion.
When I started my pass it said 24/5 I’m still waiting for it to return to 24/5 as it’s been a long time since lockdowns and it seems the Lincoln st one is 24 hours but can’t get in that one kind of annoyed
The place is a dump. Unorganized. Dirty. If I wanted to workout in a body odor infested sauna, I could, but I don’t. Other gyms offer more for the same price, I recommend you go there.
Consistent with other reviews, the manager and staff simply do not enforce the protocol of wiping down machines. This policy has nothing to do with Covid. This is standard policy at any fitness facility. Staff do not circulate around the facility and only remain behind the front desk. Too often, machines are not being wiped down ! And to approach a member about their failure to keep a machine clean is not wise. I am told, "F.. k you". The problem begins with the manager enforcing the wipe down policy, and then staff, as well. Will this happen...? No, it will not. Therefore, consider me gone. As for other members who are inconsiderate and remain on a machine for an extended amount of time... This is very frustrating. Well, you have a few problems to fix before I return. And, I am not the only member expressing this. The days of pizza and bagels are all in the past.
Did not cancel membership when requested went back 3 months later after seeing the charge wouldn't take responsibility or give me a refund the equipment is dirty noone wipes down after done staff is too busy talking to friends to do any work the manager was talking over me being a jerk so I would definitely recommend going somewhere else unless you want an infection
Overall I only expect Planet Fitness to have the facilities and policies/procedures that they have and it works.....unless you go to some of the locations like this one where the employees just stand behind the counter while people are allowed to sit on machines in the 30 minute workout area, playing on their phones and not even getting a workout. People are terrible..... particularly on Lincoln St in Worcester, but if the employees actually did something like enforce the policies and walk around the facility monitoring what's going on it could work better despite the people who think that sitting on machines will somehow do something for them
It’s better than it was before they updated the space and equipment. The leg machines are separated from each other so that’s not an upgrade. The TVs are stuck on the direct tv channel and the ones that are working are in the middle, not in front of the treadmills, which many people use, sooooo what’s up with that? I’m not sure why they have so many elliptical machines that no one uses. Get more treadmills! I’ve been to better gyms but the staff is SUPER nice and helpful and it’s pretty clean.
Every time I go in there I am greeted with a smile. The staff is extremely friendly. clean and well maintained equipment. non-judgmental place where you exercise without worrying about judgments. I do recommend planet fitness. Great place to go.
Five Stars: I’ve been to so many gyms in my life, that weren’t great experiences. This Planet Fitness is world class, and a cut above the other gyms I’ve been to. Staff is very friendly, kind, considerate, and respectful. The place is constantly being cleaned and for the most part is spotless. My only minor criticism is for management to diversify staff with minority hires, to better reflect the customer diversity in the gym, and to fix the one step machine that has been broken for almost a month. I would recommend this place to ANYONE that wants to drink the healthy tonic of exercise.
