Bay State Gym

Perfectly reasonably priced, no contract gym. It's not clean and shiny and corporate, so if that's something you value, look elsewhere. If you want to lift hard, have access to a great variety of power lifting and strongman equipment, and have flexibility with your (lack of a) contract, give BSG a shot. My only complaint are the relatively restricted Sat/Sun hours, but if you prefer midday workouts it's not a problem.

Amazing gym geared almost entirely towards lifting (they have a small-ish cardio room). They have literally everything you could probably think of when it comes to equipment. Very rarely have to wait for any piece of equipment and I typically go around 5:30-7:30 which are peak hours at most other gyms. People also rack their weights when they're done which is hard to come by these days. Only a couple issues with this gym. Monthly fee is relatively high at $40 a month, although they seem to regularly offer specials (I just got three months for $80), and the lack of labeling on a lot of their weights - both weights on their machines as well as their dumbbells. Other than that, this place is awesome, including the staff.
