Great service and friendly staff. The owner is cares about their guests. This is a cosy spot in busy area. Food is ok, not the best but it's worth trying out their pizzas and pastas. Overall it would be around 8/10.
The food, service, and atmosphere was amazing. Owner is super friendly along with staff. Pasta was DELICIOUS! Definitely going to return again with my wife - David , aka "John"
I'm rather confused about the high ratings. The food isn't terrible but it is WAY overpriced for its quality and portion size. There are many other Italian places in the city with better and more flavorful dishes at the same, if not lower, price point. The cacio e pepe was the most disappointing dish, they seem to have forgotten the 'cacio' part. It was more like a bland butter noodle dish, definitely not worth it. A couple pros are that the place is kinda cute and the servers were polite except this one server that kept telling us to make a reservation for next time as if it was a problem seating us even though there were multiple free tables.
Outstanding pasta, imaginative and delicious salad and the perfect wine paring! The service was also great! Thanks so much for a lovely dining experience!
We've been going to Banfi pizza for over 30 years. Definitely worth the drive! Perfect food and the atmosphere here is incredible Food: 5/5
My wife and I have been going to the place since 1998. And we have never been disappointed. Nestled in Forest Hill Village, Banfi is one of my favorite pizza and pasta places. It’s a small, cozy place. You almost feel like you’re walking into someone’s living room. Each and every visit , the owner has greeted us with a great and welcoming smile. They consistently serve great pasta and pizza, and the specials vary. Best compliment I can pay to this place. In over 20 years of dining at this place, service, quality of food and overall experience has never disappointed. And in my humble opinion, they serve the best Tiramisu in the city next two Terroni and Stock TC
Visited Pizza Banfi on a Friday night - busy but only had to wait ~5-6 minutes for a table. Atmosphere was very cozy, warm - perfect for a family dinner/date night. The owner was really friendly - personally greeted everyone that came in. Staff was also really friendly and knowledgeable. Had the Vegetariana pizza - honestly probably one of the best pizzas I’ve had in Toronto, absolutely delicious. The dessert was also really good. Price is reasonable $$-$$$. I definitely plan on visiting again. Highly recommend.
The food is excellent and the atmosphere cosy. But it is the customer service that really makes this authentic Italian restaurant outstanding. The owner is a friendly Italian gentleman who greets everyone warmly in Italian and converses with the regulars whom he seems to by name. Banfi is good for a romantic date or a family dinner. The décor is old world Italian. Fresh bread and olive oil are served when you are seated. The chilli oil they offer is hot but soooooo tasty. A really nice and appreciated touch are the real candles that are lit at each table. Bathrooms are clean. Prices are are a few dollars higher than other similar Italian restaurants however, it is worth it. The pizzas are thin crispy crusts that are so flavourful. Would be nice if they had an inexpensive house red for the budget conscious but that does take away from the fact that this really is such a gem of an Italian restaurant.
Had two take out pizzas, very quick service. You can also order by phone and pick up. Lovely thin crust pizza, with fresh, tasty ingredients. On the expensive side at $20+tax, but large, 12". The Prosciutto e Funghi was delicious, the Calabrese was a little bit too greasy. High quality prosciutto on both. Definitely coming back.
Loved this place ... recommend by my friend.. nice , rustic cosy . pizza and pasta was great and fresh . staff was friendly. Don’t miss the house pesto and chilly oil ... amazing evening. Will visit again ..
