The Pioneer Saloon, renowned for perfectly aged, tender and flavorful beef, is typical of an earlier Idaho where ore wagons rattled down Main Street and business was done with a handshake and a drink. Natural woods, mounted game, and period firearms help recreate an authentic saloon atmosphere.

Definitely better options. Service was great - workers all friendly and quick to refill drinks. Great location too. Baked Potato and the bread were awesome. The steak was as generic and plain as you get. Absolutely zero seasoning or flavor. Also, if just two of you, be prepared to me crammed into the tightest of spaces. Tough to enjoy a meal when you're literally bumping elbows with the strangers next to you as you try to cut a steak. Couldn't even hear us talk - but "enjoyed" the drama at the table 10 inches from us.

What a wonderful experience! Our dinners were prepared top-shelf, and so delicious. Great menu selection, classic Western environment, and the our waitress Kaiya was very attentive and pleasant. Amy also made us feel welcome and made a map of the local places for us to camp while in town. Thanks Amy and Kaiya! Well done!

You have to do the Pio when you're in town. The waits are typically long but worth it. The food is good and they know how to cater to their guests. We had several adults and kids. The kids were at their own table and the staff was so good taking care of them, splitting portions, etc. A favorite each time we are in town.

Jim Spud is all I got to say. If you are ever in Ketchum, Idaho or Sun Valley, Idaho stop by the Pioneer Restaurant and treat yourself to the biggest and baddest Idaho 🥔 out there. I will definitely be back if not to Ride at Sun Valley then definitely for a Jim Spud from the Pioneer Restaurant. The service is also top notch. 👍👍 and 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me lol 😂

Great food and large portions, especially the potatoes! Small place so get your name in early or be prepared to wait a decent while. Wait staff does a good job of making sure you don't get thirsty while you wait.
