10/10! Amazing! I was looking for a 100% authentic South American restaurant in town and found this gem. Amazing food, great staff, super affordable prices. Totally recommended! Nothing else like it in Calgary.

The taste of the food is authentic Colombian... the portions are very consistent with the price... and the best... the attention is excellent!!!! Thank you!!!

I have been in this place many times. I think they changed management and that is why I am writing this review. Before, the service was excellent and the food amazing. However, I was there a week ago and my experience was not as it used to be. First, we got there and were waiting at the entrance for someone to let us know where to sit which was ok eve if the restaurant wasn't full. After we sat down, we were waiting for the menu and minutes later when the server came, he asked if we were ready to order but he never gave us the menu. Which it is also fine because we understood maybe they were too busy. We ordered appetizers 3 empanadas that supposed to be served first as "appetizers". Then we got our main dishes and we were almost done with the food and we told the gentlemen that we didn't wanted the empanadas anymore because we were almost done with the food and we wanted them as aperizers and by that time the empanadas weren't ready. Then he just told us "they are already being fried". I replied that we didn't wanted them but he insisted that we have to get them. My main point is that the service now is awful. He could have been more respectful, his actitude is very rude and has zero interest on offering a good service. I have heard from friends and relatives the same story about the restaurant and that is very sad because it used to be a nice place for Latin community. I am disappointed and definitely I won't be back.

Food is absolutely delicious the really bad thing about this place is it took one hour for them to bring the food to everyone in the restaurant not just our table, so if you are really hungry don't come here, if you have time to wait an hour for your food then I'd suggest this place.

As always: The best food is always in a quaint little hole in the wall. Highly recommend this place for authentic colombian food. Has about 6 tables inside and 4 or 5 outside on the patio. I ordered a Bandeja Paisa sausage, thinly slices steak, crispy pork, rice, avocado, beans and a small tortilla and a Pony drink which is a malt drink. Food was brough out hot and delicious! Will most definitely go back again!

After waiting for more than 30 minutes more than what they had us told to come and pick up the food. This is what we came home to. 3 bandejas paisas without beans, chicharron, chorizo and avocado. An over priced place with zero customer service and now the food cant even overcome that! Hugely disappointed. I couldnt even get for what i paid for! Horrible place and i will do my best to tell everyone i know to stop going there

Hidden jewel in the south of Calgary. Picaditas offers you a taste of heart and warmth of a Columbian home. The food is cooked with love and with a punch of passion and flavour. Choosing just 1 dish off the menu is definitely a challenge, because everything looks so good. As you watch other peoples dishes come out of the kitchen, you can’t help but wish you ordered that yourself. I would definitely go with then intention of trying a few items to explore the menu a bit more.

I visited today and tried the empanadas, they were very good and served hot of course. I also didn’t forget the Postobon, I will definitely be coming back to try the other items on the menu. I highly recommend this place. Friendly staff and great environment.

The atmosphere in Picaditas Latin Foods is reminiscent of a Central or South American family run restaurant. There is seating for 24 people, and the background music is lively and definitely Latino. The food is made fresh to order, and is very tasty. My partner ordered chicken burritos, the picadillo sauce was delicious. I ordered chicken tacos, unfortunately they did not have any corn tortillas, so my order was changed to grilled chicken with a green salad and sweet platanos. This dish was more than enough for one person - I took 1/2 of it home! You must be prepared to wait for your food, but it is well worth the wait. You will enjoy the memories this food elicits! Parking: Lots of parking out front. Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot is ground level, a slight rise into the restaurant. The table are quite close together, so wheelchair maneuver will be challenging, as will getting into the washroom small, unisex. Dietary restrictions: If you are gluten-free, they do have corn tortillas / tacos on the menu. But you must first ask if they have them before you order it.

The most authentic latin food I have had the experience eating in North America. I lived in Central America for years and this brought back so many memories of food and culture. Food is very reasonably priced and tastes AMAZING! It’s a small place but it is very suitable. If you like real Colombian/Mexican food this is THE place to be.
