Only 3 stars despite some excellent food and probably an excellent wine list. Value for money is not there as it is incredibly expensive such as charging 9 euros for a can of coke… too bad!
Everything tasted so good. Ordered the duck, spring rolls, beef and seabass. They have an extensive wine list as well for those seeking vintages hidden gems ; Important to make reservations!
My favorite Vietnamese food in Paris. Visited five years in a roll. Very different from those Pho places, highly recommended.
Really not worth the money and pretty bland food 89 euros for a shared starter and two mains Go to the 13th and two can eat well for less than half this price
What a restaurant, and what a wine collection ! Amazing place, very good food homemade & wines, and great welcome, thanks a lot !!!
I went here in 1993 and it was FABULOUS! Fantastic food. I wish I could share more details but it has been a while. The owner was so sweet, the food amazing, the wine spectacular! My boyfriend and I met his two sons. Its an easy walk from Musee D'orsay.
We love Tan Dinh and have been coming here regularly for about 16 years. The food is delicious, especially the smoked goose ravioli and the beef Tan Dinh. The list of burgundies is unparalleled. The restaurant is a regular hangout for well-known writers, musicians and intellectuals -- we have seen many famous faces here. A family favorite, but if you are looking for a cheap Vietnamese meal, look elsewhere. It is quirky and not for everyone.
This place deserves not one star but rather a Death Star. Not only is it dark, nearly empty and smells funny, it is priced like a 3-star Michelin restaurant for cuisine that is, at best, mediocre. 17 Euro for a cup of soup, 27 Euro for a small veal curry sans rice that is 2.5 extra. With all the wonderful restaurants in Paris, it is a stunning miracle that they remain in business. Other than that, highly recommended!
I came here with a couple of friends from the States, and man, we absolutely love this place. The steamed rice wraps of goose meat was phenomenal; very thin and moist rice wraps with some fresh cilantro, and nicely seasoned meat. The sliced beef steak there was a must recommended by the restaurant owner, who was so warm and friendly and literally picked out all the dishes for us, including wine. The beef was soft and juicy, while the tangy sauce helps to reduce its fatty taste to the perfect level. The duck dish was great as well. The owner was such a nice man he's 89 years old; he has had the restaurant for more than 30 years. He conversed with customers and gave advice about what goes well with what. It can be quite expensive and they don't accept credit cards so be prepared to bring a lot of cash.
still outstanding haute vietnamese food with an evolving menu of mouth- watering food. reservations are a must and let the staff guide your choices of food and the wine bordeaux or burgundy reds to accompany. you will not be disappointed
