They really focus on the popular items, the staples of Vietnamese cuisine and they do it well. Since discovering Pho An Vu, I have gone multiple times to a couple locations. Each restaurant has a unique flair to them, adding pretty trees and things. I also happened to come on the day of the owners daughters birthday and had iced Vietnamese coffee which is just so darn delicious. Anyways the Pho and Bun are very well portioned, I was actually quite satisfied with both dishes. The spring rolls are perfectly crispy and packed full of meat and things. Noodles cooked to perfection. And for the pho, they give so much meat. You certainly pay a higher dollar for quality, as I go back to those old school places in various neighborhoods, I just notice those differences and compare it to here. It is now my new added staple spot for Vietnamese food.
In uptown Toronto this is one of the busiest part of the city, but if you’re craving for delicious Vietnamese cuisine, you have to squeeze in. There’s a lot of parking in this plaza although it gets busy sometimes. They have a quick service, great food and clean washrooms. Sometimes it gets tight but when you enjoy the food, it becomes part of your experience.
This is the 2nd Pho Anh Vu location I've been to. They are busy during lunch hour. Expect the restaurant to be full. Overall the food tastes good, and was served hot and fresh. Prices are also reasonable.nOne criticism I have is that they likely use lots of MSG, as you'll find that you will be quite thirsty after eating here.nThis location is close to Yorkdale Mall.
A Vietnamese friend recommended this restaurant, and I highly recommend it as well. We tried the Mango Salad, Special Rice Noodle Soup, Grilled Pork, and Spring Rolls & Shrimp on Sugarcane with Vermicelli Noodles. Every single dish was fantastic. The Mango Salad, in particular, was the best I've ever had at this location.
Been here a few times already. Best. Pho. Ever! If you love spicy food like asian level spicy you’ll love it even more since they have lots of chilli condiments. My personal favorite is the crushed chilli + garlic one.nnPro tip if you order the XL pho it can feed 2-3 people. The spring rolls & mango salad are really good too. Vietnamese coffee is kinda good but I wish the portion could be bigger and less ice for the price it was full of ice so there wasn’t much of coffee.nnService is average, prepare to have a long queue during lunch or dinner time. During my last visit we came at 12 and had to wait around 15-20 mins before we were seated. Also somehow our order wasn’t properly recorded and they only realized it when I asked about it 10-15 mins later.. Was kinda disappointed at first since we were already hungry but they made it up by serving our order in 3 mins after that, plus our small spring rolls order were given free as a compliment.nnThis restaurant will always be my go to place for Pho.
