Pettis Showtime Sports Bar

Went here for New Year's Eve with my fiance and some friends all of us 26 years old. The bar is at a bit of an odd location next to a strip joint, but they had good, cheap food and the staff was friendly. My fiance and I just went back tonight and were turned away at the door because evidently a new rule went into effect 3-4 weeks ago; all patrons must now be at least 30 years old. We were clearly not there to cause trouble, but rather enjoy a laid back dinner together while watching some sports on TV. This new "30 year" rule seems very arbitrary to me, and I believe the owner is digging the grave for his business here when he turns away returning customers. My fiance and I are both responsible, respectful people, but left feeling like teenagers that had just gotten caught trying to sneak a few beers. On the off chance Showtime Sports Bar is still in business by the time we're 30, we will not be back.

Huge UFC/Pettis fan...so naturally had to stop by...big let down Greeted by a bouncer really? and was ID'd, which felt more of an interrogation because he hadn't seen the ID card I used before Nexus card, from Canada, so that should've been my first red flag. Once I got in, the bartender was the only wait-staff working and barely gave me attention until I went up to the bar to ask for a menu. I thought the venue would've been more decent if it weren't for it being so dimly lit + the choice of music...just made the place make me want to grip my laptop bag real tight. It's the first restaurant very loose use of that term by the way where I actually felt pressured to order food, without actually being pressured. I didn't want to offend anyone in there by walking right back out with ordering a thing. Needless to say...food was totally all deep fried in the same oil and was not the establishment's main focus for customer retention. Let down really hard by this one. Showtime, hope you listen to your customers!

After driving out of my way to come to this bar to hang out with my boyfriend who is playing poker, I was refused to be let in because I wasn't 30. Not even trying to cause trouble was just trying to hang out with my boyfriend in a bar that had no customers other than poker players. Don't really understand how a bar that has no customers can be turning away any business at all. If I was able to give a zero star rating I would.

We were convinced this place was a gentlemen's club, but realized they're two separate entities and if you enter one you are not entering the other. The entire staff was friendly, busy, but friendly. The big screen TV is easy to see from most tables in the bar. It is small for my taste when thinking of a sports bar, but it was nice nonetheless. The specials are amazing. We had a Groupon and had a difficult time meeting our price point because the food and beer was so inexpensive, but the waitress gave us a running tally periodically updating us on how close we were so we wouldn't be under/over. I will definitely be visiting again.

Came here for the comedy show. Came early to have a few drinks for one of the girls birthdays and we were told it was closed for remodel. Nothing was listed on the website and we weren't told when we called for the comedy show. Everyone was just sitting around and there was no remodeling going on in the place. Staff was rude as well about is being disappointed and not being told ahead of time. If tickets werent already purchased we would have left. Wont be back.

DON'TGO HERE!!!! All the staff is rude!!! they messed up my order 2x half my food came cold... Dylan came from the kitchen to pick up my incorrect order and proceeded to scream at me infront of the entire bar!!!!! I will never come spend money here again!!! The manager was in the room while the staff screamed at me... Im tempted to file police report. But deff filing a complaint with BBB!!!! That lil disrespectful perpubesent Dylan has me messed up... Im calling John now smh,,,,

I totally agree with Zen Liminal! Especially KIM! She is rude, racist, and always has an attitude. She is not welcoming and you can feel the negative vibe right when you walk in. If there was a -5 rating I would choose that. Kim's attitude ruins the business.

Came just to order food and the bouncer refused to let me place a food order because im not 30 for another 4 more days... Rediculous!!!! I'm already standing in the bar and there were 0 customers!!!! Hmmm... Wonder why they have no customers!!!! Cuz they suck!!!

I'm here for my birthday with a large crowd and they wouldnt let us in because they are "renovating" which it says no where on the website. Sitting here waiting for the show to start with no drinks.

Great service, cheap drinks, and a huge menu of great bar food.
