Petsense Ellensburg

We frequently stay weekends about 30 miles away from Ellensburg. This was the case today when we really needed some booties for one of our two Shetland Sheepdogs with a hurt a pad on his front left paw. He was worrying at it when he didn’t have his cone collar on and going outside was uncomfortable for him. An additional complicating issue/need was he recently was diagnosed as diabetic and we’re having difficulty regulating him. This morning he rejected the new food he needs to eat, I think it’s really processed cardboard, so I wanted to find something tempting a diabetic dog can have. I was aware of PetSense being near the Fred Meyers fuel island but had never been in; that changed today. I was really surprised at how much stuff they had. There were no bare spots on the racks and shelves because they were full of stuff. The 2 ladies working were really friendly and helpful. I was lead to the booties where I was able to take one out to my car to try it on my boy. While I trying the booties on, one of the lady’s looked through the dog treats looking for a treat appropriate for a diabetic dog; high fiber, high protein with minimal ingredients. When I came back in she had selected several for me to look at. I walked out of the store completely satisfied that the 60 miles was well worth it. The booties were only $19 and the treats, when a few were broken up and mixed into his cardboard substitute were enough to interest him into eating. I will keep PetSense in mind for future needs when in the area.

Great place. Adopted a cat from here. It's been a good experience every time i've been.

My dog has fear aggression of other dogs. Keira was patient and understanding and scheduled his grooming appointment so he was there on his own. She did a fabulous job grooming and my dog was so happy and CLEAN when I picked him up.

The staff and service at this store are excellent. I'm also a fan of the huge selection of not only dog and cat care items, but also small animal (Rabbit, Guinea Pig, Hamster), reptile (Snake & Lizard), Beta, and the nice selection for each. The prices are great and the atmosphere is always friendly and helpful. This is definitely one of my favorite stores to shop and browse at. :)
