This dental office is by far the best in Ottawa. They not only do excellent regular dental work but they also do exceptional esthetics work. I had two crowns done here and people can't believe how beautiful they look. The first crowns did not look the way I wanted them to, so permasmile had new ones made free of cost. The dentists are also very well connect and know the best experts in town (endodontist and dental crown lab for example). I've had 4 other dentists in my life and these guys are top notch.

I had perfect and healthy teeth when I went to this clinic for a check up and they told me I need 9 fillings. I became suspicious at the time but was too busy and didnt go for a second opinion. I filled 6 teeth until my insurance ran out for the year. Also in my last visit, the doctor seemed too busy or in rush and drilled my tooth while it was half-frozen. I told him that its not fully frozen and Im in pain but he didnt care enough to wait for 10 more minutes and he kept drilling. After that awful visit I decided to stop going to PermaSmile. So I went to another place with very high rating in Ottawa and got two other dentists opinions and they both told me my teeth are perfectly fine and in very good health and there's no need to fill them . To PermaSmile, patients are only $$ and nothing else.

Great experience all around. Fadi is a great dental hygienist and one of the main dentists Dr. Maja was very thorough with my new patient exam.

I had an EXCELLENT time at Perma Smile and they were my favourite dental office... until I switched dentists and my current dentist tells me she's surprised I would ever need fillings. She said my teeth were in great condition and was shocked that the dentist at Perma Smile said I needed 7 fillings. I did 6/7 before I left town, and they persisted on asking me to return to do the 7th cavity with them. As much as I loved the customer service, I'm skeptical of how persistent Permasmile was to get me to do SEVEN fillings. I've never had a dentist tell me I needed fillings before in my life. When I changed to a new dentist, she informed me the 7th cavity did NOT need to be filled in because it was SO small, and the cavity could remain small for the rest of my life if I take care, so no need to drill my teeth. Well, you can't go back on the fillings now. Unfortunately, this behaviour is more common than you think for some dentists. They see a filling as a pay cheque. As nice and professional as the staff at PermaSmile are, proceed with caution when they recommend fillings. Even if your insurance covers it, your teeth may be FINE and don't need to be drilled down. Trust your judgement call.
