Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

3/2/18 - We are in Eau Claire, WI about once per year as we drive through. We decided Perkins sounded like a great idea today for breakfast. We were politely greeted inside by the female hostess who was really making tracks to make things happen! We all enjoyed our food and it was a very nice family breakfast. I often take photos of our food to post but forgot today. I wish I knew the name of the hostess. I complimented her on the way out that we had noticed she was there to make a difference and to keep up the great work! She is a real asset to that Perkins restaurant.

Super slow service even though it wasn't busy at all. My fiancee and myself were 2 of 4 people in our section. Waited over 25min for drinks. Ordered soda first. Waited 15min then were told the machine was down for "some maintenance thing." We then ordered OJ for him and chocolate milk for me. Waited another 10min while our server stood at the table adjacent to us and spoke extremely ill of a few coworkers. Nothing that should be said to a customer at all, much less in front of booths of them. She walked away after giving us our drinks. Came back 10min later to get our order. Was very short with her answers and quite rude. Waited 20min for the appetizer sampler we had ordered. Even worse was the fact that's the only thing we ordered. She brought it to us walked away. Didn't ask if we needed refills. We both did. I was do disappointed. Being pregnant I crave your food. This gave me reason to go to Altoona Family Restaurant instead. They may be busy but they are super sweet and polite. Detail oriented and fast. Just loved it. Hopefully if I decide to come back some changes will have been made.

Food is really hit or miss. I have gone and had great meals and gone and been extremely disappointed. I got breakfast there two days ago, tried a new skillet. It was dry and tasteless. Looking back I should have sent it back! We waited 15 to get our drinks when we got seated. It can be good, but it can be not good.

The waitress there was very nice and she was nice enough to give my daughter a free cookie. I don't go there much but when I do the people are always nice and welcoming!!

We've had a few bad experiences here now. Wait staff is not on top of things, even when it's not busy. On our last visit, we were never tended to. We were seated, waited 20 min for waiter to come & take our order, waited another 30 min for our food to come, order was wrong, but no one ever came back to verify everything was ok. We eventually went up to the counter to ask for our bill, paid, and immediately went to a gas station for drinks because we were so thirsty. We never got refills at the restaurant, since no one checked on us. Worst. Service. Ever.
