Amazing place!! Food was done fast and with efficiency!!! There was a line of people and one person working…he did amazing at making sure each customer was addressed, before they were ordering! He was quick and got the line down fast!! Amazing work for a single worker to handle! Food was amazing and def coming back…this was our first time here and will not be the last. The gentleman working behind the counter was engaging with customers, friendly, efficient in preparing the meals, and more. Amazed at how hard he was working and how good the food was!! Excellent choice!!
I own a restaurant in the area and have been in the business for several decades so I've got a good feel for when a place is operating at a high level. Consistently I don't know but yesterday was excellent. To me, PepperJax had a nice niche with alternative-looking people tats, gauges, piercings with great attitudes, fun banter "We've got a Gunner!" "Fireball!" and great sandwiches. Some of the magic got lost as the company expanded over the years. Been there myself. When you realize there are a lot of places providing food, but very few an experience, that's when you're cooking. Consistency is key though.
Mike, general manager, was running the register and he was awesome and was doing amazing leading the rest of the team. Nachos and philly sandwich were both great, restaurant was clean and service was fast even though they were busy. Great, adorable place to stop for lunch between shopping!

Initial visit Good solid counter service restaurant. Food: 4 Service: 4 Ambiance: nice clean restaurant. I liked that the manager came out to ask how people felt their meal was. When ordering I placed my order but was not asked if I wanted anything else. I felt like I needed to know exactly what I wanted. Usually places will prompt you asking if you want sides or dessert etc. There was a bunch of sauces on the side but I never found out what that was for. I ordered a burrito and my gf ordered a salad. It would have been nice to have had some things explained to us on how it worked. Service when not from the manager was cordial and Curt. My gf thought her salad was ok. Her look was a 3, her words seemed to imply a 4. My burrito was good. The meat was tasty but I would have liked if it had more cheese. When you are building it, they ask you what you want, but I wasn't sure if I could ask for more. The filing wasnt evenly balanced... so one side had all the rice, the other had all the meat. It's kind of typical of a build your own burrito where the filling is added next to each other. Protip: when I went to pay there was no tipping option when I did Visa. They just charge you what it is. They do have a cash tip jar. Note: unlike regular fast food joints they do clean up the tables after you.
It's definitely a step up from a lot of fast food places. They make your food hot to order. I was particularly happy that they let me order a kid's chicken Philly for myself. I'm going to make one nonfood related suggestion. They have two singleton restrooms, one labeled men and one labeled women. They both lock, of course. So I think it makes lots more sense to just label both rooms "restroom" and let everyone user whichever one is open. It would also be nice to have a few wastebaskets/recycle bins.
First time I went to a PepperJax Grill and it was amazing, we will be back at one someday
I just recently moved to the area and had a pepperjax philly today. Best philly I've had. Wish they had this place where I come from
It was kinda busy and it seemed like there were only 2 people there, but they were doing the best they could. Well, one of them was. She was a small girl with dark hair. I think she’s the manager and her name is Miranda ?. She was so helpful. I don’t go to pepperjax often, but she was super helpful and seemed to be doing EVERYTHING by herself. She was so stressed, but so kind and polite. Overall a great experience, just need more reliable staff.
Slow rude staff, the portions were small and the place was dirty. All the tables were filthy and trashes were overflowing. I'll never be back to this location.
