Pelicana Chicken

Juicy fried chicken! I got bone-in Garlic flavour and it was really good. The yam fries were perfectly crispy and came with a spicy mayo.Food: 5/5

Tried the Chibob rice bowl which includes crispy fried chicken, lettuce, corn, and some chow mein. The bowl had 8 well sized original fried pieces of chicken that were topped with yang nyum sweet & spicy sauce. We asked if it was possible to choose a flavoured chicken instead but unfortunately it was not possible. The chicken had a nice crunch on the outside, but didn't have enough meat. The sauce on the chicken was good however I've had better yang nyum sauces from other Korean fried chicken places. Overall, an average rice bowl for a quick take away meal at a decent price.

Yesterday's visit was very disappointing as the fried chicken was the worst I've ever had. Considering Pelicana is a chain, I expected a standard procedure for frying chicken. However, the breading was excessively thick and soggy, hence the chicken smelled too oily. I've been to Pelicana in New York, Seattle, Korea, and the first location in Lougheed, and this experience was by far the worst. The Yangnyum sauce lacked the desired stickiness and barely coated the chicken, which was disappointing for someone like me, who is passionate about chicken. I was choosing between this location and Chicko Chicken on Robson Street, and now I deeply regret not going for Chicko Chicken instead. Everything about this chicken experience was unsatisfying. And I rarely leave a 1 star review. If the owners are reading this, I strongly recommend that they take action and address these issues.

Korean style fried chickens made to your order. We ordered a Large size original flavor chicken, the order came with all the parts including breasts and back. Rice bowls are also great, comes with veggies and noodles as well. Reasonable price with great flavors. Not a lot of tables in the restaurant but is clean and good enough for a fast dine in. Spent about $50 to feed three adults without ordering any drinks.

Ordered a 3 piece meal. As you can see, 2 of the 3 pieces were just bone and batter. Barely a bite of meat between the 2 pieces. No self-respecting business owner would even serve this. Chicken itself was cold, grease and bland. There is far better chicken in Vancouver. I will not be returning.

I ordered bone in half size and I got two drumsticks and unknown parts with 30% meat 70% batter. Technically it's bone-in half sized chicken but it was not what i expected. I've tried Pelicana from different branch and it wasn't like this. Quite disappointed.Food: 1/5

It was amazing even after an hour!!! I picked up a large half and half boneless chicken for my kids on the way home and I was worried that it would be soggy or not crunch enough to enjoy korean fried chicken. Obviously it wasn't hot anymore but it was crunch and delicious! I also love how they have fried rice cakes with the chicken. Very satisfied and definitely coming back again.

Tasty fried chicken with an okay price. Loved the yam fries fried sweet potatoes! Not a lot of cheesling powder so I asked for more and got charged an extra of $1 picture of little box provided below. Bonus point as it is in a very nice area.

Scrumptious and the price for spicy pork rice set is amazing! The interior design is quite new and modern. Will visit again!
