Been here few times since we live close by. Was also here several times when it was still a Korean tacos restaurant. Food is delicious and big portion good for sharing. Service is good though the last 15-20 minutes the staff wasn’t around so I had to go up to the register to ask for the bill.
First, I would say make a reservation if possible, as there was a bit of a wait around dinner time. There’s no maximum time per table, so wait times can vary. Food came out pretty quickly and portion was suitable to the price. We got the seafood tteokbokki and assorted pancake tray. They were really delicious. The seafood tteokbokki has a good level of spice with loads of seafood. The assorted pancake tray is good for indecisive people. The server kindly explained to us which pancake pairs well with which sauce. The atmosphere is lively and warm. There was a birthday party going on at the time so it was REALLY loud, but it is a place for drinking, so it’s expected. Service was good. We did struggle to get attention from the servers many times, to a point that we had to go up and ask for water and napkins at one point. I think with the demand and business, the restaurant would be able to give more attention to each table if they had more servers during peak times. Overall, great food and experience. Would recommend for a night out on a cold rainy day
Service was consistent, food was very nice and for the area I'd argue it's good value. I was able to try different flavors of Korean pancakes that I haven't seen elsewhere. Had an authentic vibe and I enjoyed trying the yoghurt flavoured soju that was a nice recommendation by our server. The shared trays were filling for our group of 4. I'd be interested in coming back. The restaurant was busy so we were happy to have a reservation. Vegetarian options: Some have seafood but many good options if you are vegetarian and a bit more flexible. Dietary restrictions: If you're allergic to seafood I'd avoid as there were dishes with seafood and I don't know how well they can accommodate.
Good was okay. A lot of different pancakes but the batter just didn't do right for me. Neither crispy or have the right chew, kinda just hard. The pancakes didn't really come out hot either. The beef hot plate thing was delicious though. Service was spectacular. Attentive and sweet. Atmosphere was great as well, felt like I was in Korea. Though they can use better ventilation.
Try the deluxe tray. Get a little of everything if it's your first experience. Picture tempura but lighter and flatter-- because pancake. You can't go wrong with bulgogi or BBQ chicken, but all of the items on this menu are cooked with care with top level ingredients. This is a must try-- pancakes and beer are also a perfect match. I really enjoyed our meal, can't wait to go back
Food is great, friendly staffs, convenient location! Assorted jeon is a good combination for the people who’s first time here and don’t know what to order. I like their prawns and mix mushrooms jeon ! Yummy!! Also the Makgeoli is so yummy ! Chestnut flavor is the best mussels soup is just ok , but still good to eat with soju . Will definitely be back, thanks for the great experience :
The Mussel Soup was the best dish here, definitely worth a try- so flavorful, a bit of a kick/medium spiciness to it. The Seafood pancake was just okay, first few bites started off delicious and crispy but later felt a bit bland / oily. Quite a large portion to share between 2. Next time would rather share the pancake with 3-4 people, so each person gets a smaller portion and we can order other dishes instead
All the food was great. Especially, pajeongreen onion pancakeand seafood tteokbokki were the best I have ever eaten. The staff are very kind
I went here Saturday night because I wanted to introduce Korean pancakes to my foreign friend. The food wasn't bad. The potato cheese pancake was crispy and delicious, though the charcoal pork bulgogi was a little greasy. But I was disappointed with the service of this restaurant. While another customer was passing us, she hit the handle of a grill plate set by the server, which fell on the table and almost spilled oil on my foreign friend. The happening made a loud sound and the servers as well as people around us were looking at us, however, no one cared about our situation. Also, the Cass bottle beer we ordered was not cooling down at all. Later, when I asked the server, she said it happened sometimes, and she told me she would give me a cool one next time. I'm not sure if I'll be back again.
This is a place to heal, a relaxing and cozy venue where you can talk about things with your friends whom you can confide in over a flight of makgeolli and jeon. You can definitely tell how much care and pride the chefs put in creating each piece of jeon. It’s a rainy Thursday night. I was glad I made a reservation because there’s a bit of wait. You may want to call ahead to check the table availability especially on a rainy day because it seems that many people now know jeon and makgeolli taste best on a rainy. Also the servers are always so nice here. It’s already my third visit and will visit again soon probably. Vegetarian options: Tofu jeon, zucchini jeon, mushroom jeon, veggie mung bean jeon
