Peche Matinal

We visited for brunch and had to wait around an hour to be seated. The French toast was tasty and well prepared — definitely a highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the eggs Benedict with salmon wasn’t to my taste; the flavor combination didn’t quite work for me. The coffee was just average. The best part of the experience was the atmosphere. The place felt cozy and inviting, making it a nice spot to relax. The staff were also very kind and attentive, which we really appreciated.

We went a Friday morning at 8:45am. Waited 15mins to be seated, which is not bad for a popular restaurant! Food tasted amazing, presentation was beautiful and portions were big, but it took 45mins to get them after ordering. We’re now leaving at 10am and there’s a big lineup outside the restaurant.

Disappointing Brunch Despite High HopesnnAfter hearing rave reviews from friends and seeing positive ratings online, my family and I visited Pêche Matinal on Saturday morning, May 10, 2025, with high expectations. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the hype.nnWe arrived around 10am and waited in line for 30 minutes—reasonable for a popular spot. The atmosphere inside was pleasant, with a cozy and inviting vibe. However, the food fell short. We ordered three different dishes, but none aligned with our tastes. The flavors were overly salty, and the smoked salmon paired with cream cheese didn’t work well—the balance was off, making the dish unappetizing.nnConsidering the price point, we expected better execution and more refined flavors. While the ambiance and service were decent, the food itself left us disappointed. We wouldn’t return or recommend it for brunch, especially given the many other great options in the area.nnRating: 2/5 – Just okay, but not worth the wait or cost.

The food was amazing and the place is really cute. There was barely any wait, which was a nice bonus.nThe only downside was the service toward the end of our visit. The waitress brought the bill without us asking and didn’t check whether we wanted anything else, even though we had only been there for about an hour. About 5–10 minutes later, she returned with the payment machine.nI understand the restaurant can get busy, but the interaction felt a bit rushed and unwelcoming. It’s not a deal-breaker, just something that took away slightly from an otherwise great experience.

We went for mother's day. The lineup was an hour. Not their fault but weather was nice so that was okay. The restaurant is gorgeous and so cozy but today it was packed and very very loud. The food was plated rustically and delicious. The French toast was a-1. The other dishes were lovely too and we shared them. Mine was eggs Benedict with salmon. I did not like the combination although I like both separately. My daughter exchanged with me, after all it was my day! Overall it was a nice experience and I'll go back during a quieter time. I'm looking forward to next visit without eggs benedict salmon!
