These campsites were huge! I went with a group of people, and so reserved two sites so we could have space.... I need not have! We could have easily fit four tents on one campsite. Unfortunately, we would have had a problem with the extra vehicles, so it all worked out to have the two. The facilities were very well maintained, I believe Judy was our Camp Hostess. I'm not sure if she was directly responsible, but the bathrooms were always stocked with TP (though it is the super thin 1-ply- bring your own, if you're sensitive!). No showers at this campground, be warned. Plenty of access to water for cooking and cleaning. Not sure how it tasted, as I brought my own. The only complaint I had was that the "dish water drain" located near the bathroom was backed up. Not sure what can actually be done about it, I'm sure lots of people abuse it and don't strain their water. We used minimal soap and strained and scattered our water throughout the campsite and trees. Beware the chipmunks! They are voracious! This shouldn't need to be said, but DO NOT FEED THE WILDLIFE. They went for anything and everything that got left out- whether or not it was edible! Twice they made off with my silicon spatula and had a nice chew. They stole it from my table, dragged it away, and chewed on it. And we are not messy campers- and I was watching the table the whole time! They simply have no fear of humans. Do them a favor and break the dependancy. Don't encourage them. Watch from afar, and pack up your food AND gear, immediately after using! We had a great time at Paulina Lake. I will camp here again, if given the chance, as it was spacious and clean, with adequate facilities.
