Saw good reviews, so decided to try it out. Customer service was great. Ordered over the phone and was ready within 20 minutes. Restaurant is clean, but the food was disappointing. Tried the Hareesa, with kebob toppings; felt they used too much yeast in the dish. The karahi chicken was very disappointing as it had more collar bones in the dish. The chicken sizes were small and hardly any meat on them. The flavor of the karahi was the only good part. Don't think I'll go back again.
Tried them tonight after rave reviews from friends. We were absolutely not impressed. The karahi was insanely spicy despite having asked for medium spice level. I can only imagine what they'd do if you actually ask for spicy. It also did not taste special at all. Chappali kebabs were fine, I suspect they'd taste better if you had the option of dining in and eating them fresh. The fried fish had really thick breading which we did not like. It tasted fine otherwise. One thing they are doing very well though is naan; I think I can safely say their naans might just be the best I have had in Canada. Apart from not tasting the best, the food also made me sick and nauseous so I think I can safely say that I will not be eating here again or recommending it to anyone.
Tried their naan, channey, and harissa. All Tasted good. They don’t open everyday and hours are short on the day they open. Only takeout and deliveries. In my opinion, this restaurant has a potential to become a number 1 desi nashta/breakfast spot in GTA but seems like they are doing this as a side business The order yesterday was little disappointment. The Lahori fried fish was horrible. They sell the fish per lb but a thick layer of coating made it overweight. Overdose of coating didn’t taste good either. Suggestion for the owner to have less coating on the fish and less baking soda on the Lahori cholay.
Have tried them a few times… food quality and availability has gone down considerably. The food has too much oil and Sesame seeds. The use of salt was akin to the salt one can use for gargling.. the Hareesa may be the only good I would recommend trying, followed by their Naans and Chaplee Kabab. The chicken Karhai was absolutely useless. The type of boned chicken used seemed inconsistent, small and hardly any boneless piece in it.
As a chef myself, I really enjoyed this authentic restaurant. Tons of flavors, taste a lot like homemade dishes. Hidden gem! Highly recommended.
I tried their chicken & chops karahi, qeema naan, chapli kabab and channa plate. Their chicken karahi was just ok. Chops karahi has smell of meat and when we asked them, they were very impolite to explain. They said we are in this business for 4 month,we have no complaints etc. They didn't want to accept. Any how their channas are too good, qeema naan is very good and chapli kabab is very good. Their sesame naan are ok. They are more like paratha. Sitting area is very small but cute.
We came across this place which was literally around the corner of our place and we found it a month after. The ambiance is spot on! Welcoming and cozy place. The owners are really good and friendly people. Happy faces always! Now the food... amazing... chicken dishes... good... firni great... Kahwa... good.... but the butter naan!!! The best ever...
A kitchen operated by a Lahori-Kashmiri family that offers mouthwatering food. Qeema naan and Lahori Chana are delicious. But the king on the menu is Hareesa. You can't easily find that level of taste even in Lahore. Fresh ingredients and mixed perfectly and cooked to the right density - Delicious. Their naans are so good and exactly Pakistani style. I have never seen such naans in two decades spent in North America. I have yet to try their chapli kabab and Lahori fish. I am sure those will be delicious as well. Absolutely best desi food in GTA.
I will let the food do the talking for itself. It’s a must visit for all Pakistani food lovers. Harissa was amazing !! They also serve Chapli kabab, karahi and Lahore fish. Small menu but everything is cooked with passion.
Really good food. Loved the keema naan, kulcha, cholay and dried fish. Small outlet, friendly people and a clean setup. Didn’t care much for the chicken seekh kebab.
