He is a schister. There were issues with my original cataracts operation on my left eye. With the covid 19 And everything else going on they're very very backed up and behind. He was in a hurry when he was doing the operation and he just won't admit it. My eye fogs up. So if you want to take your chances with him go right ahead. But I'm gonna live with the mistakes he made in my left eye for the rest of my life. Do not make a decision that you will regret. Stay away from this guy
My optometrist in London referred me to the Patodia Eye Institute in Sarnia for cataract surgery on both eyes. I am a retired professional engineer and a retired certified financial planner with high attention to detail and high expectations of any professional service I pay for. I have to say Dr. Patodia and his team are 5-star all the way! ALL the staff were always professional, courteous, willing to help and answer any question. The Eye Institute is an impressive and immaculately clean facility complete with state-of-the-art test machines and operating rooms fully equipped with lasers for surgery. The entire process is very efficient and runs like clockwork as they move you from room to room for tests and eventually surgery. On Day 1 the patient receives a complete package covering the entire process from beginning to end including appointment dates, detailed instructions for pre- and post-operation eye care, including checklists to keep you on track for success. As a “one-stop shop” they also sell as a package all the eye drops you’ll need for your eye care. I checked other sources and found Patodia prices are comparable and in some cases lower than those you can get from online pharmacies. In addition, their cost for the various types of cataract surgery offered are comparable to those I got from a different eye surgeon in London last year while investigating surgery. While the info package does a good job breaking a very complex and complicated subject down into a few options to choose from I do find the wording used for the titles of the options somewhat misleading. Rather than using the title “Full Solution” for a premium lens with laser-assisted surgery which can be erroneously interpreted as never requiring any eyeglasses it would be less ambiguous if the options were simply stated as: “premium lens + laser-assisted,” “monofocal lens + laser-assisted”, “monofocal lens+ manual surgery”, “OHIP covered”, or something along those lines. I am extremely pleased with the improved quality of vision following insertion of monofocal lenses in both eyes. I can see clearly far away and at intermediate distances without eyeglasses. I can see my vehicle dashboard, desktop computer screen, laptop and most things on my handheld by slightly increasing screen size - all without eyeglasses! In fact, while at Niagara-on-the-Lake last week on a clear morning while the water was calm I could see the Toronto skyline across Lake Ontario, distinctly seeing the CN Tower and shoreline condominiums - that's 57km away! I have no large halos, starbursts, or other annoying visual disturbances during night driving, and the lenses promise to remain “glistening-free” for many decades. I opted for the Envista monofocal lens and accepted I would need glasses for near vision. In fact, it was Dr. Patodia who recommended that lens over the Eyhance lens that I had proposed but I later learned it is hard to control good results with the Eyhance since it must remain perfectly centred while the eye heals, which is not always the case. A successful relationship with any professional requires trust. I can honestly say I trust Dr. Patodia with my eyes as I had a successful outcome and was able to validate from other independent sources every answer and explanation he provided during the process. I recommend Dr. Patodia to your family and friends.
Dr. Patodia was great. I have no issues with him whatsoever. His wife on the other hand is a wickedly mean woman. Sunita needs to go. Otherwise I was happy with my experience.
I have been a patient at Dr. Patodia's for over 20 years. I have always found him to be professional and knowledgeable on all of my eye related issues. I've had a number of laser treatments and have always been extremely satisfied with the outcome. I am grateful that he has maintained his practice in Sarnia . His new clinic on London Road is beautiful and equipped with state of the art equipment. The staff are always friendly and willing to answer any questions or concerns. I highly recommend him to anyone who asks.
Dr. Parodia,performed eye surgery on me a month ago for a very bad drooping eye lid,the muscle under the lid had to be cut and stitched, this Doctor is absolutely incredible, he gave me my confidence back after years of living with this,I thank you everyday for this Doctor.. Rae Frew
I was blown away by my experience at Dr Patodia’s eye institute. This clinic is a well-oiled machine. From start to finish, you are quickly and efficiently guided from one step of the appointment to the next. I was in and out of the appt in 1h15m completing background information, vision testing, eye pressures, four separate scanning procedures and a consultation with Dr Patodia all in that timeframe. Dr Patodia and his staff were professional and thorough. Would highly recommend this clinic to anybody seeking quality ophthalmologic care.

I had a great experience with Dr. Patodia and the team for my LASIK procedure! I found Dr. Patodia on Google, and it was a great option because I did not want to travel and stay over night to have the procedure done. The process was surprisingly quick, and was impressed that they could get me in within a week. My original consultation was April 10th, and I was able to make my measurements appointment and book my procedure for May 10th. Everything was explained really well throughout the entire process, including the consent. My surgery was a little more difficult than expected, but Dr. Patodia was professional and walked me through it! The procedure overall was really good, the results were great – I was reading 20/10 a day after my surgery! I would not hesitate to do it again. Anyone on the fence should definitely get LASIK! It’s great to be able to wake up in the middle of the night and not fumble around for my glasses!
Recent double cataract surgery. I could not be more pleased. Yes they are very busy; but well worth the wait. Two other family members have had the same surgery with a different doctor/location. Wait times were far worse. They both paid FAR more out of pocket. They also had good results; but not better that mine.
