This place is amazing and so is Colton the Barista. We are so thankful to have found this establishment. However the reason we found it was less then delightful. As my partner and I are new to the area opening a new franchise here we had parked and wanted a coffee. We went to Northampton coffee and was greeted with anger, condescending and vitriol verbiage. She even went as far as to mention how terrible Patisserie Lenox is and to “never support them” as they let people sit.. After one more incident of her berating us we decided to take the 10 minute walk to patronize the establishment that so enraged this young angry barista from NH coffee. THANK GOD. As we found PATISSERIE LENOX and their amazing menu of exquisite beverages and Gourmet pastries and overall good vibes. Patisserie LENOX also takes COVID precautions very seriously, yet also provide the customer with amenities to make it even more safe for the patron. They even have made a division of “in” and “out” in order to protect their customers even more. see photo The prices were also shockingly more than reasonable for what looked like edible art.. They make are everything from scratch using the finest quality ingredients that are even organic and locally sourced whenever possible. The visual delight offered at PATISSERIE LENOX is only matched by the taste of all we ordered. Thanks again to this Little Taste Of France and their Barista Colton who did a fantastic job.
I ordered a raspberry fruit tart, took it home, then noticed that the raspberries were filled with mold. This place is a biohazard, do NOT eat here.
Neat little cafe and bakery right in downtown Northampton. Found this first when searching for a place that sold macrons near my mother in law's. Not a short trip for us, actually wouldn't have stepped in save for a special medical appointment nearby. Haven't broken into these yet but Mom's super excited haha~ pictured is Amaretto, Chai, Strawberry and Champagne flavors. Also grabbed an iced chai for the ride home and that was excellent! Very fast service. Chai spice came thru the ice warm and peppery. Open condiments bar for drinks almost threw me but once I figured out what was available was very pleased!! A splash of simple syrup was all the chai needed, and a paper shield to keep my hands from freezing like the common New England maniac I am ordering iced drinks while it snows. Sad we couldn't try a bit more, but the menu and display looked amazing. Maybe some other time~
Latte was on point, their baristas seem to be well trained. But I’m writing the review to recommend their pastries not their coffee. The chocolate almond croissant was sooooooo good. Cakey but still fluffy, just the right amount of sweet. Their cinnamon twist was light and flavorful. Will be back for more.
I wish I read reviews before I went. The service was really unpleasant. The mini cream puffs were delicious but I didn’t care for the mini fruit tarts. I don’t think I would go back based on the service I had. It pays to be kind and engage with customers. Friendly conversation makes customers feel welcome and appreciated. Distant, disconnected, and unpleasant staff leads to customers who won’t return.
Well, the brioche was stale and included what looked like a slice of Kraft cheese. I also did not care for the old-tasting iced coffee. Way overpriced. ALSO the server was oh so snarky especially when I mentioned there was no toilet paper in the restroom. Don't bother!
Disappointing. The counter-woman seemed to want to be somewhere else, and gave me what appeared to be the smallest available croissant, which seemed counter-intuitive to good service. The croissant itself was flaky as anything, but on the greasy side. Good, overall, but there are better in Northampton. The mousse was good. But just good. The pretty-elegant surroundings make one expect more.
I got a chocolate croissant and a raisin custard brioche. The croissant was ok, but the brioche was soggy and did not hold together well, and was quite disappointing. To me, the pastries were not great and overpriced ~$5 each!
Perpetually short-staffed, service people are clearly not being treated well. Waited 10 minutes in line to be told “We’re out of ham,” in an establishment whose menu items involve ham 90% of the time. Bizarre.
Macarons were stale and over-priced $2.85 each; salad had turned and was browning at the edges, limp and soggy; they were stingy with the goats cheese and bread and the salad dressing tasted like it was Newman’s out of a bottle.. would not recommend for lunch!
