Great vegetarian and vegan options. I had the vegetarian breakfast burrito which I thought was a good price at $5.25. There are lots of juices, smoothies, coffees, and treats. Nice seating.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Simply amazing. From the elegant interior to amazing vegan food, I loved every aspect of it. I got to try various dishes over time and they all had some unique elements to them that stood out. Portion was generous. I highly recommend.
Awesome food, atmosphere, and staff! While technically not offering the dine-in option yet, they have a nice coveted patio to enjoy the meal in the back. Big menu selection and one of the best omelettes I tried anywhere. And their coffee beans alone are worth the drive from the Boston area. P.S. I only wish they added sugar-free options to their impressive selection of baked goods at some point!
I love the juices here, but this morning I received the large juice that you see pictured no, I hadn’t taken a drink out of it. I was charged for a large and glass not even close to full. When I asked for the barista to fill it to the top, she refused and said it the line it’s filled to is full. I let her know that I frequent Haymarket on a regular basis and the juice is always filled to the brim, so much so, it usually spills out the top when I insert straw into the lid. She still refused to fill it. I love the offerings here, but the customer service is very lacking. She honestly couldn’t have cared less. ‍
I ordered eggs over medium, home fries and toast with a small hot coffee. Honestly it was very standard food. I don’t know how creative you can get with that order, but I definitely had to add a lot of salt and pepper to make it savory. Coffee was good. Staff seems efficient, not friendly at all, just trying to get through the orders. It’s very self serve style, you order, you pay, they give you a number, you find your own table and wait for your food. Then your food comes on a paper plate, you need to go get your silverware and anything else you need. All this you figure out on your own, the staff don’t say anything. The drinks are handed out at the end of the bar but they’re not marked or anything, so if you miss whatever the lady yells you don’t really know when your drink is ready or if it’s yours. I also find it weird that I was charged more than my total, I didn’t get to choose the tip and didn’t get a receipt. The ambiance is cool, cozy and bookish. Good place to have a coffee and get some work done.
I come here at least once a month for a grilled cheese sandwich. It is a cute cafe and the sandwich itself is usually good, but I have had issues with cleanliness, bugs, and even plastic wrap in my sandwich. I wish they could address these problems because the food itself is good.
Its OK. We go there late in the day, kitchen prep counter was closed. A couple of vegan/veggie selection sandwiches were available, premade, about $10/each. Nice & Tasty. There arent any drawbacks, it's just not my kind of a 5 star place. Perhaps a quik stopover. It seems to be a studying type cafe for the local student population mostly. Vegetarian options: They have both vegan and vegetarian sandwiches and their menu when their kitchen prep counter is open suggests you can have it made the way you want it. Parking: Street parking only. They have a weird setup for paid parking, where you HAVE TO prepay your spot with a phone or a credit card at the kiosk. Kinda weird to figure out.. Dietary restrictions: They do have both veggie and vegan selections, as far as wen we were there late in the day. Premade. Tasty.
The food was fantastic and it was great to have so many vegan options. But there was a lack of cleanliness that put me off. Tables and chairs were not at all clean and bathroom needed to be cleaned badly. I would eat here again but hope this is not their usual standard of cleaning.
They advertise that they take online orders but it's been broken for 6 months. They also advertise that they're open until 8 PM when the reality is 6 PM and sometimes they randomly close earlier.I still gave three stars because the food and drink are fantastic. The vibe is great. Employees are welcoming. I just wish they would fix their online issues. Maybe it's time to sub-contract IT?
The homeless presence is way too strong for this location to be enjoyable. They camp out at the tables closest to the entrance, some pan handling at the entrance. It is remarkable that management does nothing to combat this issue. I really wonder why.
