I bought two $76 pants from Marks that only needed the legs shortened a few inches. The tailor was difficult to work with and refused to give any advice, but then he made an alteration I did not request. As you can see, the original pants on the left have a seam in the middle with a fancy lining, which is still in good condition with no tears. The pants on the right, however, are missing the lining and have a different seam than the original I only brought two out of three pairs for alterations. Unfortunately, both altered pants tore along the seam after a few months and I decided to patch the holes myself rather than be scammed again. This entire experience cost me $182, which is a waste of time and money. I used to go to a tailor in Calgary's Chinatown who charged $5 for the same alteration and it came back fasterwithin 8 hours instead of a week and with better results. Additionally, there were no unwanted alterations or scams made behind my back!Service: Alterations
This place is the worst, I tried it based on reviews after my last long time tailor retired. The prices were way too expensive and he was very rude to me, seems like he's super stressed out. I don't know why people on here are saying the prices are fair, I got quoted for four items and was shocked. The work he did was fine and what I asked for. I went somewhere else where I was quoted half the price for the same job and the person got it done twice as quick as this guys time line.
Talented Tailor. Beautiful technique. I trust him so much. Fair pricing and understands exactly what I’m going for. Has tailored difficult items i.e Canada goose jacket lol for me. Have probably brought 5+ peices to him and they have all turned out perfect. I have to be able to trust someone especially with expensive pieces of clothing. Would 100% recommend.

A terrible experience, the man told me it’s 10 dollars when I drop off my pants, but charge me 14.7 dollars when I pick up. Do not come to this place.
You get what you pay for. Great quality work. It’s nice that there’s an option for dry cleaning.
At this point, Ali has tailored my entire professional wardrobe, and I will continue to use him for the coming years. He offers an excellent quality of work and is very well priced. I would easily recommend him to anyone.
Not only did Ali do a third rate job repairing my cardigans, his attitude was terrible when he realized I wasn't pleased. I'm guessing by the other good reviews that he may be proficient at hemming pants and skirts, however if you need real repairs done I suggest you find a skillful tailor. The first cardigan needed the collar re-attached. When I came to pick it up it was sewn all crooked and there was a big hole at one end, which apparently he missed. The correct way to fix this is to remove the collar entirely and then re-attach. He just sewed the spots that had come apart! The second cardigan was a merino button up with a tiny moth hole under one arm. Instead of reweaving with merino wool he sewed it up with cotton thread, obvious and ugly from 5 feet away. Big difference between knit wool and cotton fabric repairs and the two don't mix. I probably wouldn't have left this review if he didn't give me attitude when I was in the store. I also expect a much higher level of quality. BTW check out his reviews on Yelp, they are far more revealing and accurate. This man will wreck your clothes and waste your time.
