Papa Joe's

Food- I actually love the food in this establishment. When it is good, it is very good. However, it is inconsistent. I've had pizza's that were half cooked, burnt, or just sloppily made. On other occasions, I've had a pizza that made me smile with satisfaction. Itll depend on the day. Decor- Nothing amazing, it works. But its dark, and with minor wear and tear on nearly everything the customer sees. A little redecoration and updating the interior to something a bit brighter would be great. Seemed a little more effort was being put into cleanliness and over all appearance. Service- Previously I said that the service was hit or miss. Which is was. Things are better lately. The last few times I went there, I noticed a marked improvement from some prior visits.

While not perfect - Papa Joe's might be the best pizza place in Pittsfield and that's not easy as there is some pretty stiff competition. Their prices are reasonable and the delivery is very fast. They also offer a regular Italian dinner menu which is pretty darn good and my wife lauds their cannolis. They also bake fresh Italian bread every day that matched with some butter could put you in heaven. They really deserve 4.5 stars as the only downside was their salads - the antipasto was a bit disappointing. There also is the chance you're going to hit them on an off-night/day as every so often the food isn't as good as usual. My kids love their All You Can Eat Sunday buffet which does offer a nice assortment of pizza and other foods.

We love this place. When we stay near by we make sure to stop in for a good meal at Papa Joe's. Living over 300 miles away, we only get here several times year. Reggie, the waitress makes us feel at home like local people.

One of my favorite regular places. BEST beef sandwiches, AWESOME hamburgers, EXCELLENT thin and thick crust pizzas. Their only weakness is salads... they have plenty of ingredients but the veggies can be a bit limp and not so flavorful. It's staffed by locals, which I like, and they are very friendly, if busy.

Every time I go in, the staff is super friendly. They treat my son like their own nephew and sometimes even sit down for a minute or two to interact with him. As if this wasn't enough to keep me coming back, the food is great. Best pizza I've ever had. I almost always go for the rustica style. Give it a whirl. The desserts they make in house, o.m.g...ok. Enough of that. Heading there for dinner soon now. I made myself drool.
