Panda Express

The store was full, line was long. Took 15-20 minutes to get to service. They were out of string bean chicken, my wife’s first choice. I think the server was training someone - which is fine, but after I told the trainee my order, the trainer pushed him out of the way and made me repeat my order twice more before she filled it. Then there was another five minute wait at checkout. Hence, my food was cold when I got to my table. I know the food is good when it’s hot, but today it’s not.

Waited for 8 minutes at the counter while workers serviced the drive thru window and barely acknowledged that there was a line forming. One guy actually said, "I would take your order but I am clocked out" while filling takeout dishes with food. The excuse was that they were "counting the drawer." Seems like orders could be taken while they count. Food was good, as expected for fast food. Warm but not hot when I got mine.

I generally like Panda Express, this visit at this location first time there was unacceptable. I ordered Broccoli Beef. There was one ok size piece of beef and a couple little, and I mean little. I took a picture to document the lack of beef. I went through the drive thru, if I ate inside, I would have taken it to show a manager. There was lots of . The food was warm and the staff was friendly.

Love Panda Express and the food is always good but today 9.2.2022 around 6:42-6:45pm at their Auburn Hills Michigan location one of the cooks walked out the men's bathroom with his apron on. Good thing I had already placed my food and he wasn't near the food coming off the grill. Not sure if he had cooked my black pepper chicken but I'm not in the mood to finish eating. I did tell the young lady who's the manager tonight about it.

Guys, I'm not complaining but you served me a fried lump of god knows what. That's what's good from franchises, it's easy to notice when you get served larger than normal "chicken".Food: 1/5

Did take out. Food taste was to my liking. Was waiting a bit because everyone was busy cooking, at drive thru or elsewhere. Thankfully cashier came over without being asked. Attended to my requests nicely. Funny thing when I asked for knives and forks, cadhier pointed to where plastic ware was located and added in somewhat of a tone "we don't have knives here". Oh well, overall fine.

I like the food here, but I consistently run into two issues. One is that they often don't have several menu items. This is an issue when you wait through a long drive through just to find out they don't have what you want available. Also, their process for sauce is bad. They ask you to request sauce at the pick up window, but when you get to that window they don't give you the opportunity. They just hand you your food and walk away. Also, many times when I request sauce, I get home and it's not in my bag. It's almost like they are trying to save money by making it hard to get the sauce you want.

TERRIBLE franchised location. Whoever the owner is, is clearly greedier than most of the other franchisee owners. I always eat in and I go to Panda different locations 1-2 times per week, every week for my work lunch. Instead, I came here for dinner today and not only was the girl who scooped my food outwardly rude and had a terrible attitude, but they scooped my food and weighed it 4 times. Each time she weighed it, she took my orange chicken out and dumped it back into the bulk bowl. She then kept weighing it and taking out chicken and adding chow mein instead to replace the chicken. No I clearly did not ask for any of it to be removed. No other location I've been to has been this outwardly greedy. None of the other ones use a scale and weigh the food then KEEP TAKING IT OUT RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. The final time of her weighing it and taking more of my chicken out I nicely asked her to stop replacing it with chow mein. She didn't like that and gave me attitude and made a snarky comment under her breath. Taking the food out each time you weigh it on top of replacing your main dish with more noodles is so greedy and ridiculous. It makes your business look bad and it's embarrassing for whoever the owner is of this location. If you want to get ripped off and wait for your food to be weighed and removed 4+ times, then come here and waste your money. No other location anywhere else in southeast Detroit does what this one does. Not coming back here ever and making sure my family doesn't either and waste their time or money. I wish I recorded what she did.

This location ALWAYS skimps on the portions. They are often busy so long wait times as well. I love panda so it's a shame my closet location is so bad. I had a gift card I wasn't able to use here because they couldn't get it to work but I hung onto it and was able to get it work elsewhere. Food is decent, but not worth the cost. There is a local Chinese restaurant down the road that is cheaper with bigger portions. It's also tastier with mixer staff. So unofficial endorsement of Carrie Lee's.

The workers are kind. The place is clean. The only thing I don't like is the food. I can't be a fan of panda when their chicken is the lowest quality little bits of dark meat, full of cartalidge covered In the worst texture of over flavored breading I've ever had in my life. Every panda location I go to I take a bite of the chicken, and it's just terrible. The rice is terrible. I would rather go support local restaurants then spend my money with a huge international chin that can't even make good food. Much love to the employees at Panda restaurants, but there has to be something done in the business to increase the quality of this barely edible food.
