The food is so delicious and they have so many varieties. Hidden gem in the city. Best African Restaurant in Toronto. The name speaks for its self plus the staffs are so friendly and nice
Honestly speaking this is one of the best restaurants I ever been too. They have a variety of dishes from all over Africa and the customer service is just marvelous. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone loving flavorful/tasty food
First of all May God bless each of everyone at African Village. This is my second order in 1 week and trust me I am not a easy person to please when it comes to my food.African village did more than that and I thank you guys for meeting my expectations.Highly recommended and its10:30pm on December 31,2022, think about it lol. Time to party now, God bless
I took my brother and his wife to the place yesterday and it was a pleasant experience. The food was tasty and fresh. We had pounded yam/egusi soup, eba/afang soup, rice/ofada stew . My family was satisfied and full. I am a heavier so I had goat meat pepper soup . I would definitely return.
Good ambience and good music. Pls bundle up cos it’s cold there. I ordered goat Suya twice and was burnt all the time. I ordered grilled tilapia for my girl and she told me at the bus stop that it was burnt as well but she didn’t wanna talk: all happened yesterday Christmas Day. I ordered jollof and 3 pieces of meat. One was ok 2 was fat. I like the ambiance but will be wary of these guys.
A hidden gem in the city. Good place to relax with friends with the cozy atmosphere and vibe of the venue. Has bar/ restaurant mix in the design giving the spot a unique feel. The food is amazing with a nice selection of African barbecue, potion size is a bit small in comparison to the price paid but nonetheless quite tasty. Location is far from downtown so you’d need a car and good luck finding parking as the plaza is quite busy.
Poor business service. Beware of ordering large; It is the SAME PORTION SIZE as the small. Placing food in larger container doesn't make up for food quantity. Patiently waited over an hour for an order and instead of getting what I paid for, I received much less food. Quality not great. Friendly staff.
Very professional and courteous staff. Clean dining area and a wide choice of african cuisine available. They've got something for everyone and I got served in a timely manner.
First time at the restaurant and I have to tell yall the food was soo amazing and well put together Friend of the owner very good people and very good vibes and environment with Professional staff at your service so you have a good time on your visit I also heard on Fridays and weekends the parties here really go down Nice place to chill and have drinks and some good African food with friends family or good people with good vibes Must visit again and support good places like this 10/10 If you pay Cash you Pay no tax
Food was okay. Goat suya was delicious, but it didn't feel like I was eating suya because it had no powder, plus it was too tough. Jollof was tasty, but the potion was SMALL .. Attieke was small as well, didnt come with maggie or much diced vegetables. I guess different countries makes their attieke different. Overall, I would recommend the suya with jollof rice. I was overcharged as well, but I let it go. Just calculate your cost and ask for a receipt. You can either pay cash or card.
