I was referred to the only pain management clinic in Manitoba over 2.5 years ago, in 2020. It's 2023 and I've never been contacted for an appointment. The only "support" I was given was a useless study I could participate in that was therapy-based, meaning it would not actually help address my pain or route problems. Manitoba has a MASSIVE problem with preventing chronic pain patients from receiving the care and support they need and it is killing people. More chronic pain patients are turning to suicide and MAID. So thanks for nothing and for forcing people to seek life ending alternatives instead of real medical help. We aren't criminals. We aren't faking it. We're just people who deserve medical care.
My husband has been on the waitlist for a spine pain management shot for over 3 years!! He has had 2 meetings for file info, but they DID nothing. He has been in pain, relying on a cane and phoning every month to obtain an appointment in April, but now gets voicemail and they do NOT return his call. Very poor organization/patient service. “FOURTH day of trying to make a clinic appointment after 3 years on clinic waitlist for spine pain shot. In Sept 2022, we were told to phone in February2023 for an April 2023 appointment. Unfortunately the Pain Mgmt Clinic staff/receptionist does not answer phone nor reply to voicemail messages from patients. “
Had three separate knee surgeries here in the span of 8 months and had a good experience each time. All the nurses and doctors taking care of me did a great job and were very kind and patient.
Aside from waiting for 4 hours, we’ve a met one of the rudest doctor with such no empathy. We just shared our story to this doctor that we’re flying in a few days and our daughter twisted her ankle. Let’s call him Dr. D. He told us that “our logistical problem is not his problem”. Not sure if he is just being racist because we are people of colour or he was just thought not to show any empathy on patients in med school. So disappointed!
This place is total luck of the draw saw Dr. David Williams here who miss diagnosed a knee injury stated it was out of place and just through a month 4-6 weeks of bracing that it would self resolve. Unfortunately for me it ended up being a torn meniscus and 6 months of recovery I later found out through diagnosis during physiotherapy. On the other hand I have broken my right hand boom and through this process I’ve been blessed with David Vancura a true legend this guy greets every patient with top of the line enthusiasm truly seems like he enjoys his job he has provided me with great care and lays out multiple solutions to best serve the patients needs. If my only experience here was with Dr. Vancura I’d leave a 10 star review if I could.
Attended to the Pan AM clinic for an MRI appointment. The staff were friendly and the appointment was punctual. Staff explained the procedure and the exam itself went very smoothly. Ample parking. The only reason I am not giving this location 5* is that in my opinion the building and equipment is looking dated. Maybe time for a refresher?
The Doctor I usually Visit is Doctor Peters. He is a very nice Doctor. stars. I gave the clerks 1 one star. Unprofessional clerks at sports medicine @ panAM clinic.The receipts at Panam clinic has your name , date of birth, phone number, address , 9 and 6 digits health card number. Personal and confidential information that should not be given to anyone but the patient only. One of the clerks gave me a receipt that belongs to someone else.I got my cortisone injection and was given a receipt with someone’s name and information on it. The clerk was in a very bad mood that day, she had so much attitude with me. I was driving home when she called me to inform me that she gave me the wrong receipt and that she needs the receipt back , because they have to shred that document. They kept calling me to bring that document. I went out of my way to bring the receipt, after working an overnight shift. I informed the clerk that she was in such a bad mood that day and she had so much attitude with me. She started shouting at me , it was nasty! and another clerk also started to defend her. Instead of apologizing and acknowledging that they screwed up by giving me receipt with someone’s entire information on it , they didn’t. How will this patient feel knowing that someone had her personal information. I have heard from few people about how rude the sport medicine clerks are , but didn’t believe it till I experienced it. Very unprofessional!!
Thank you so much. Quick and really seems like they cared. My son had a shelf fall on his foot at day care. Nurses and doctors did an amazing job throughout the process. All is well that ends well. Thank you.
I have added a star because of the staff at the clinic being professional. Terrible logistics and service. Waited on a relatively cold morning starting at 720 am for a spot at the walk in clinic. Big line. People cut the que and just walked in front of others and were handed tickets by a security guard to GET INTO THE CLINIC. While everyone behind them was told best to come back another day. GET SECURITY OBSERVING THE LINE BEFORE THE CLINIC OPENS IF THERE'S A LIMITED NUMBER OF PATIENT CAPACITY! I am suprised people have not gotten into arguments and fights due to the extraordinary poor service and people cutting in line. A VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU ARE IN PAIN. Poorly thought out. No issues with health staff, just the logistics.
You need to make an appointment or you will wait a long time. I had an appointment made about 30 days previously. I was in and out quickly and efficiently, a new prescription for arthritis which I was able to fill at Diamonds in the same building. Total time including x-rays and waiting to get into Diamonds was a bit over 2 hours.
