The facilities are nice -- standard 25m pool + leisure options. Warm and highly chlorinated. Lifeguards are perpetually understaffed and often engaged in conversation with one another. Quite dangerous but it seems like there's a gossip mill that keeps them coming in for their shifts. The change rooms are relatively clean but can get grimy by midday. Cleaning staff are often preoccupied i.e. doing things other than cleaning. My locker has been broken into once before at this facility -- a problem throughout the city and beyond. Puzzling. Personal belongings are allowed on deck. I often smell strong chemical fumes in the change rooms and on deck & although I've inquired have received no answer. Patrons are below standards/improperly monitored -- they do not always shower thoroughly and I have seen some serious medical ailments floating in the water. Showers are often busy at the start and end of sessions. Showers are communal except for a few hours each week during women's only hours. Changing stalls abound. Could be a fast pool but as is, pretty sluggish.
Great new pool, free entry. The changing rooms are clean. There is a swimming pool with paths and a children's pool. The water in the children's pool is warm. There are lifeguards. Before visiting, you should check the schedule, as certain hours are reserved for certain categories of visitors.
Awesome pool with great infrastructure. Only major complaint is that the change room is weirdly freezing. I really want to keep coming to swim with my baby but he cries so much when we get out and I think it’s because he’s so cold when I’m changing him. It’s a shame because it’s a great facility. Wanted to try to contact them to say something about it to see if it can be fixed as no one at the facility seems to be able to do anything but it’s very hard to find any email contact- maybe they read google reviews though?
The water is too cold, and the changing rooms are freezing with no apparent heating. They keep the door open even though it’s already getting cold outside. They need to warm up the water or take steps to make things more comfortable. The staff seems more interested in their phones than in assisting.
I love this pool so much! It’s a gem in Regent Park and the community is lucky to have it :
