The experience my son and I had at Paddle Brave Camp Ground exceeded our expectations. Before and after booking this reservation, I contacted the owners - Tom and Jill several times with questions about canoes, lodging, fishing, etc., as we live out of state. They both patiently answered all our inquires both via email and phone. Upon arriving at Paddle Brave, after a 5 hour drive, we found a super-clean well appointed operation. We rented a canoe, fished for two days on the Au Sable River, stayed in one of their cabins and enjoyed Tom and Jill's hospitality immensely. After a long day on the river, the hotel-style showers at Paddle Brave were a welcomed comfort! We are now planning a return trip to the Au Sable and Paddle Brave. A destination that is both enchanting and super affordable. Thanks, Lee & Oliver Hopkins Fishers, Indiana

Very nice campground. Bathrooms were always very clean and even the port-a-potty was pleasant!! And the entire staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Will definetly be coming back first chance we can get! Great place for quality family time! Thank you!!!

I visited Paddle Brave for the first time last weekend. I came with my boyfriend to meet up with a group of friends and their parents. One of the owners, Tom, has clearly had a bad experience with drunk teenagers on the camp ground, because he threatened to call the cops and tried to get our entire group to leave by offering a refund for the cabin to one of the parents, even though no one had actually done anything disruptive. The boys listened to his request not to play any kind of "drinking games" and respected his quiet hours (I'd like to add that none of us were under-aged). There was a much more obnoxious group on site and I'm pretty sure he never said anything to them. I understand he wants to keep the place family-friendly, but his delivery was incredibly hostile and unlike any experience I've ever had camping. Truthfully, it put a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of our visit. On to the actual canoeing experience, the canoes were great, the river path was easy to follow and they provided a shuttle to pick us up at the end. The bathrooms are very small for the amount of people that were there, but they were cleaned regularly so I can't complain there. Overall, don't come here if you're looking to party, Tom will tell you to go to the Rifle River.

Well I have to say for a camp ground I would give Paddle Brave Campround A 5 Star rating! I spoke with Tom the owner before booking my camp site and he was very polite! Upon arrival my son and I were greeted with a handshake. Tom told me to check the site n make sure I liked it! It was a nice site and if I needed anything to let him know. His wife Jill was also very nice they made our stay there perfect!! Nice clean showers and a area to was your dishes with HOT water! We went on a 5 hour canoe trip that was very nice!! I will for sure be back to Paddle Brave to visit Tom & Jill!!!
