Meet up work friends and enjoyed some delicious food and a great drink selection. The andouille sausage and Mac and cheese where the highlights for me, another delicious sausage was the chicken and Gouda one. The brussel sprouts were also fantastic, but unfortunately the server took them away without asking if I wanted the boxed. It isn’t air conditioned, so it was extremely warm inside this evening. The vegan sausage was disappointing, but the rest of the food hit the spot.
The food was unexpectedly good. Tried the Maple and the Otto sausages. Both were fresh and juicy. The in-house effort was evident. Unfortunately, the 'brioche' hot dog buns were a miss. Not stale, and maybe intentionally bland so they don't compete with the meat. Really nice selection of local Alberta breweries on their drink menu. I look forward to returning to try out the rest of the food!
So glad we discovered this little gem. First time here and definitely won’t be our last. Great selection of delicious in-house made sausages and sides. Friendly service and fabulous food. Highly recommend.
Food was ok. Pretty Pricey given the portion sizefood pictured was nearly 60 bucks before tip . Sausage was unique. Mac and Cheese was pretty good. Best dish we tried was the brussel sprouts. The pickles were absolutely delightful. I think they must make them in house. I think they're half sour dills. They have that pleasant lactofermented funk. Wouldn't make a trip to the area just for this restaurant, but would come again given the opportunity if I was in the area. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Low key environment. They have high chairs. Parking: Street parking only. Fills up fast. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to get into the restaurant. Would be reasonably easy to get inside with a chair.
I love this place. It has a secret garden patio outside that's so relaxing and quiet. The food here is so fun, its all share items so makes for a special dining experience. The menu changes up every so often as everything is made in house, which makes it more fun. They always have a featured cheesecake, make sure to save room for it!! Also best part of Otto...the patio is dog friendly!!!!
I discovered this place when my friend advertised The Blue Jay Sessions, hosting various artists within Alberta, live music. Otto has some delicious food, great drink choices, friendly and inclusive atmosphere. I look forward to going back with a few more friends.Recommended dishesFries with Curry Ketchup, Fries, Mac and Cheese Brussel Sprouts
I'll be thinking of the curry ketchup for a long time. It was that delicious. I loved how the entire table's food was served all on one platter, but this might turn some people off. Definitely a place for those groups that like to share. The food was delicious, but perhaps a bit pricey. That being said, I didn't leave hungry and felt like I got my moneys worth. The only thing I might critique is that it would have been nice to have air conditioning in the restaurant. We went on one of the hottest days of the summer. The entire dining room is open to the outside so it makes sense why they might not have AC but this was something that everyone at the table commented on.
I was here last Friday with a group of friends for a birthday. This is often our birthday spot because the food is always delicious and we all leave full and happy. Our server was friendly and helpful throughout the night and the drinks he made is were great. You can’t go wrong with the Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, and fries. And whatever sausage your heart desires. We love Otto and hope it continues to thrive!
Friendly and helpful staff, and a cozy atmosphere! This neighborhood gem is one of my favorite places to go to for beer and a hearty meal. I especially love the Otto Sausage, pickles, brussel sprouts, and the fish and chips.Food: 5/5
Love this place!! It's a hidden gem on the way to downtown. You will not be disappointed with anything on the menu. I recommend making reservations to ensure you can get a table, they can fill up fast. We like to order a few different sausages and a couple sides to share between the two of us. Parking: Normally find street parking within a block, free parking but watch out for the bus stop that's nearby
