Ottawa Lake Recreation Area

If you like nature this is your place! The lake is amazing! Warm and CLEAR & CLEAN natural spring fed. It's where the contact station is so theirs staff to help with all your state Park needs. Their's always lots of wild life. And their are wonderful free activities all summer. Lots of bathrooms, shade, tables, and theirs a dog beach(which could be a little bigger. That's my only critique). Don't get me started on camping. Nice sites!, bathrooms,hot showers, laundry, water and waste disposal for campers/RVs. And the camp hosts Sharon and Mike are friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional. We live here all summer long. We're so blessed to live so close. It's no shock that people come from states away!

LISTEN TO MY IMPORTANT ADVICE: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR WASTE IN THE TOILETS, YOU NEED TO PULL THE TOILET HANDLES UPWARDS OR ELSE THEY WILL NOT FLUSH!!Its nice, but near a road. Lots of motorcycles can be kind of annoying. Great park.

Love how it is close to the Milwaukee area. I feel most people don't even know the place exists. It loses a star for 2 reasons: 1) We were required to buy firewood the camp supplied. It was wet and made for smokey fires. If we can't bring our own wood, that is fine but at least keep the stuff we have to buy dry. 2) There was a lot of traffic noise and barking from a dog boarding place nearby. Otherwise the lake, camp and amenities were all very nice. Worth trying it out.

Nice campsites beside a lovely lake. My family vacationed here all throughout my childhood, and it was nice to come back again with my son.

Very nice place. Lots to do and it not that far away. Showers, flush toilet & a nice lake to swim or kayak
