This was my first time at a Japanese Hibachi Steakhouse. I was a bit nervous about it going in. The service was great from the hibachi cook, he was very attentive to each order from my party. He also portioned the food pretty well as it was cooking, so everyone in the party had a pretty equal amount of food and not less or more. He did a couple of tricks while cooking our food which were pretty cool to watch. I went with the Chicken and Steak with Fried Rice asked for no egg & Mixed Vegetables. Food was pretty good overall. I would be open to going again here and other Hibachi style places.
This was my first time at a Japanese Steakhouse. I didn't know what to expect other than what I had been told. I was really surprised at the fun I had and how good the food was. I went with three other friends all of whom were their first experience. The chef kept it lively and intrigued me with his skills. My food, which was steak, rice and vegetables was perfect and tasty. It was so good that I even ate the mushrooms which I never eat normally. I would tell anyone looking at going here with some reserve to go. You'll like it if you give it a chance. Parking: I went on a Sunday so no parking meters were in use. I parked on Main Street and walked down to the restaurant. There is a paid parking lot closer but I did not know about it until I walked to the restaurant.
Stopped in for lunch and was seated right away. Ordered the Lychee Martini that was very good. For sushi rolls I had the Bad Boy and American Tango rolls and oh my..... what delicious and creative flavor combinations and amazing tasting sauces. Loved my lunch experience. Service was quick. There's metered on street parking, a parking garage or a ticketed parking lot, all across the street. The option for dining outdoors is available. Really enjoyed this spot!
There are lots of different rolls to choose from, definitely recommend fancy rolls, dynamite, and dragon rolls. There are many sits and the night view is great. Perfect for date for friends gathering. It’s about 20 dollars per person to try multiple things. Features: Not really socially distanced between tables. But all the servers wore masks.
Great outdoor deck seating. Sushi was great. Drinks were okay. We had mai-tais. Our server was pretty rude. Only downside to the experience. Features: Servers wore masks. Hand sanitizer available.
Sat on the patio overlooking the street. Was very nice and we thought the two rolls we got were amazing. Service was okay, a bit awkward and as others have said unwelcoming, we felt a little rushed even though it wasnt busy or anywhere near closing time we went late afternoon and one of our rolls came out much later than the other, but they were still really good.
Hadn't been here in over a year and I'm sorry to say this place has taken a bit of a down turn. The experience was not like it has been in the past. They are cutting a lot of corners and the quality of the food isn't where it was a year ago. We only got through about a third of the rice because it was so greasy. That's just one example. Staff are very on edge and treat guests like we're in the way. I know these are difficult days but not treating patrons like we're an annoyance would be a good plan. I hope things get better. We loved this place up until now.
The usual hibachi place. Food was good but we felt rushed and it was empty.
I have been eating at Osaka for many years 20? and it has always been one of my favorite restaurants. My most recent experience was very disappointing. Four of us were there on January 2 to celebrate a birthday and the restaurant was fairly empty. Our waiter made us feel very rushed and appeared annoyed with us that we didn't know what we wanted to order immediately after sitting down. She came back repeatedly while we were looking at the menus trying to take our order, even when we indicated we needed a few more minutes. We ordered several appetizers along with our meals and were literally taking our first bites of them when our food was brought to the table. Without a word it was shoved in front of us without there being enough room on the table. By the time we got to our main meals, the temperature had cooled significantly. On the way out I stopped to give the manager some feedback in a kind way about our experience. All he said was, "sorry".
Food is amazing, service is subpar. I visited for dinner with my wife and the menu was changed since we were there last so I tried something new which was great! Regardless of what I order, I'm always happy. They could just use a more friendly atmosphere. Prices are a bit expensive.
