First time visiting this place today, and my boyfriend and I had a great experience! Service was incredibly quick and the restaurant was quiet when we were there. The staff and chefs were very friendly. For the food: My boyfriend said that these were “the best oysters he’s had in his life” and I really enjoyed my veggie gyoza appetizer. We’ll definitely be back!
I am a huge sushi fan and I’ve been to many different sushi restaurants. I can honestly say this is THE BEST sushi I’ve EVER had! We have been about 9-10 times and every single time it’s been amazing. The Sam I Am roll pictured below is a must as he does his own special creation and uses very unique ingredients you won’t often find in other places. Hadley roll is probably my favorite as well as the rice bombs Give them a shot and I promise you won’t be disappointed
Honeymoon oyster was great, and I really recommend it. It’s probably a best seller here. Second best would probably be the shiitake mushrooms. However, the rest of the meal was underwhelming. It was just so-so. I wouldn’t say it’s the worst but it’s definitely just the bare minimum. Everything was overpriced in my opinion sautéed shiitake mushrooms was $9, salmon avocado roll was $9 - we got two in the pictures, and chicken curry udon was $17. The staff was very nice and they even let our dog hang out with us since we sat outside. Our dog is kind of barky at first so I’m so glad they let him stay anyways. The food was just mid but the staff was great. I would probably return for the honeymoon oysters but that’s it.
Small, freindly sushi restaurant, with amazing tasty food. Cool spiral stair case leading up to 2nd floor. Drove up from CT. Parking: Street parking, also public parking lot near by.
Hours- Saturday hours on Google are incorrect. The place shuts down from 2pm til 5 PM while the staff is getting ready for dinner crowd. This was extremely inconvenient as we had to spend money on extra parking and also try to find something else to do for few hours. Staff- The moment you walk in , you imidiately face the sushi bar and the big chef of the house, the man himself who greats you and then hits his gong with a mallet to let everyone know that you have arrived, VIP is here! I thought it was great. The male waiter welcomed us next and offered us few areas to sit down in, we wanted to stay next to the chef so we stayed downstairs at the sushi bar. They do have main sitting area upstairs Food- The place offers Omakase, so we went with that ONLY because the chef was very friendly. We had multiple variations of sushi and sashimi made by chef and his staff. All the foods were photographed for this review, except the eel temaki. Toro was so fat and so smooth, with a very mild fish flavor. The oysters with raw quail egg were probably my favorite, absolutely brilliant! So smooth, nothing funky, just smooth and delicious! Yellowtail was fresh tasting. Their rice in the sushi was great as well I dont know what all these Daves and Maries complain about it One negative thing about our experience- the woman kept on making sure we're OK with the price of Omakase after we had repeated multiple times we didnt care about the price tag we wanted the experience so that kind of put me back in my seat for a quick minute but it's ok, or as my husband said they probably experienced some fools before and so they're trying to protect themselves against that kind of crowd Overall, it is a great place for good quality sushi right here in DT NoHo. Prices are reasonable for normal menu items. Omakase cost us about $60 a person, and with some sake we looked at about $150 when we were done. Thank you.
Came here last night and got an amazing variety of fresh sushi. The edemame was also top notch. The staff were so friendly and gracious even though we stayed 20 minutes after closing sorry again!. It's a small place but the ambiance was so cute and the staff were so wonderful, will definitely be returning.
That MT Zilla roll was absolutely the best sushi roll I've ever had. The house Sake was delicious. I wish I could give a 8 star review! Definitely recommend this place!
This place emphasizes quality and it shows. I highly recommend the salmon cubed appetizer. It was the best salmon I tasted as well the honeymoon oysters. This place was j phenomenal.
Ordered take out while on a work trip in Northampton. Ordered the sushi and sashimi dinner. It was great, awesome friendly and fast service with fresh and delicious fish. Great sushi takeout!
A very disappointing dining experience. The salmon sashimi was not fresh at all, and tasted like pre-marinated – very salty and greasy in texture. Plus, BE CAREFUL: they show one price lower on the menu and another price higher on the check, which is so disrespectful for customers.
