This is a surprise for me in a food court. Is good congee in my opinion. It is not easy to make congee that taste good. They are very fast even you see a bit of an line up. I visit them on sunday lunch time 27 May2018 with 5 people infront of me and it took only took 10 minutes for my order to come. Recommended. I am not sure what it is, but just a 4 out of 5.
Best in town soy sauce fried noodle ! I also recommend their plain congee, minced beef congee, plain rice rolls and '' rice rolls with deep fried dough. Their bean sprout shredded pork fried noodle is super crispy. Reasonable pricing and I always like to support local small business.
I would give Oriental Porridge a Zero star if I could. After being a loyal customer for over a year, I made an order for congee but had to leave for a personal emergency before picking up the order. I came back the next day thinking they would replace it no problem since they have already TAKEN my money. The lady said they threw out my order which I think is false, she probably ate it herself, and wanted me to pay for a new order and not give me a replacement!! Considering rice and water is cheap, this shows the owner's true nature. Horrible!! Will never go back, plenty of congee in the sea.
Congee porridge and rice rolls for about $10. Good deal, decent food, good portion.
Another rice roll place in Markham. Bit thick but very fluphy. Big portion with low price.
Ask for price issue, the serve no reply and provide worst service, food is goodFood: 4/5
Best Congee food in a Food Court. Tasty and decent price. Recently increased to $6.99 combo with Fried Fritters/Sweet Dough. The Congee with pork liver is cut too thick and not cooked enough making the liver bloody. Gone from bad to worse recently.
It was yummy but not as good as some other more popular brand names. The congee was a little watery and could be thicker but that's also a personal preference. The taste is good but they should add a bit more toppings. For those reasons I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
Don't mind supporting locals, but the two workers or owners are super rude. Asked a general question and gave me attitude. Don't recommend this place and they made food with washing their hands after handling food
Overview : small portion, slow to push food out Was in the area running errands and looked up rice roll noodles places near by. Unfortunately, we came across this place. We ordered shrimp, beef, and fried dough rice roll noodles + beef brisket noodle. Placed the order at around 2:00pm, and the food wasn't ready until 2:30pm. There was only one customers order before ours, and I would have been ok with the incredibly long wait if the food was at least decent. I was incredibly underwhelmed when we got home and opened up the takeout containers. The portions were sooo small and there was little to no protein in each of the rice rolls. They even got one of our dishes wrong. The price point of their noodles are similar to other speciality rice roll places, although this is located in a food court. Needless to say, we will not be returning.
