Story

Orangetheory Fitness is a one-of-a kind fitness experience that combines two concepts: heart rate-monitored interval training and group personal training. The one-hour, ever changing workout was formulated by an exercise physiologist and consists of diverse components including high-energy cardiovascular and strength training using treadmills, rowing machines, suspension training and free weights with short bursts of intense exercise.

As a lifelong athlete I had come to a point in my where I could no longer spend hours in the gym but I still wanted an excellent workout. After just one session I knew this was the place for me. The instructors are encouraging and fun plus they know their stuff. I love when they either correct my form to make the workout more efficient and when they give me suggestions to make it more challenging (or the opposite!). I've made some good friends here and I knew nobody when I joined. I'll keep coming back as long as my body lets me and they'll have me!

I couldn't be more happy with my choice to join Orangetheory Fitness. I joined upon opening in Mid-November. I've been actively going 3 times a week for the last 6 months. The longest I have committed to any workout regimen. The reason? It's fun! Not kidding. The coaches are enthusiastic and motivating, pushing you to places you never thought you could achieve. The classes are always different. I have yet to take a class that is just like another one. The mix of Endurance, Strength, and Power using a heart rate based training is awesome. In my six months of going to OTF, I have improved my endurance starting as a power walker and now doing my cardio portions as a jogger. I ran my first 5K this year (I had always jogged/walked 5K's in the past) and increased my strength. In six months, I have increased my weight lifting my 12 lbs! I couldn't say enough about this place. I mulled over joining this "gym" for over a year and I wish I wouldn't have waited as long as I did!

Todays workout incorporated some awesome sweat on the treads, floor workout was challenging, the rower was killer and ended with five minutes of abs. Class was well organized as usual and instructor was motivating.
